dude what kind of back handed comliment was that? No normal person said the performance was boring, in fact it´s been trending everywhere especially in Korea they´ve already surpassed more than 2.6 million views and even their opening performance is now the second most viewed of queendom. Viviz is ready to win this. High energy is not required for an elegant set of songs.

Another Easter egg to point out is when they do the Clock Choreography (walking part). You’ll see the back up dancers making a clock too (at 2:39 )that goes backward from 209 to 116.

The feelings in Gfriend's songs convey sincerity. The public who receives the message would find the performance heart-felt and nostalgic. Gfriend has always walked on its own path.

Most comments I have seen interpreted the reverse clock ending as turning back time rather than moving on from gfriend, in fact sinb has become increasingly firm in her conviction that viviz = Gfriend.

This is probably the most heartfelt and nostalgic performance, it’s so elegant… it’s not a surprise it made everyone cry so much T T

Even if their journey and story end as Gfriend, Viviz will continue their story and journey and we'll be there for them

You’re missing the fact that they’re walking towards the dancer whose hands point to 1:16. So they’re walking back to go forward.

VIVIZ = GFRIEND and the message of "making the glass bead clear again" is a promise Umji and Sowon wrote on Instagram after the contract termination news. So it is their wish not something they couldn't do. This is all the truer when we know they wish to return as Gfriend one day. That's a positive message they wanted to spread. It is not about telling buddies to move on from gfriend.

I thought the butterfly also symbolises Navillera, which they have lyrics 새롭게 시작해 볼래 너 그리고 나 Let's start again, you and I symbolising their new start as VIVIZ, along with their buddies

As for me, i think the crown referred to the burden they had to carry. All of the members were seen holding the crown once and we can also see from Umji's expression when she held the crown up. I had some weird feeling about it when I saw her extreme sentimental expression. They are not just performing here, they're telling a story.

I kinda disagree with the part saying that the glass beads symbolizes they can't keep promises. While I don't have any deeper thoughts about the glass bead breaking, SinB definitely said that they will come back together. You saying that they cant keep the promise clearly shows you misunderstood it. Plus, the meaning of the glass beads is sung in Gfriend's debut title track.

The Mago logo in Sinb's part is inaccurate because that song has no connection to the performance. I would say that Sinb's part is the Snowflake album logo since Rough is the titletrack of that album and TFTMN album logo for Umji's part.

I also post this theory on the video When im thinking about this performance its kinda remind me with Hecate godess.. 3 of them resembled 3 form of moon and 3 figure of hecate as maiden, mother, and crom.. And its like eunha is the maiden cuz she the 1st who wearing crown, eumji is the mother cuz she grab crown when the song change and sinbi as the crom cuz she last who wearing crown.. 😱 i still love GF theory.. Even its never resolved.. 🤭

I believe the smile is the third party. It's like an evil thing controlling them and just destroyed them. We as fans needed this we need to stop thinking Viviz as Gfriend and Viviz as Viviz. Of course people should realise viviz is going to try new things (like gfriend was doing after 2020) and not be the same as gfriend, however, viviz said themselves that they are still gfriend. They don’t want to ignore the past.

it’s complex. Some people were saying they were allowed to because mnet lets the group preform any song that was performed on mnet. I guess luckily viviz’s ex company didn’t stop them as well.

Because they were disbanded by the company, they didnt break any rules. So if they cant sing their own song (the company dont allow it). That will def raise question. Would be very different case if its Jessica (ex snsd) sing snsd songs, bcs they didnt part in a good way. Sm will def block her.

@@A2plePie I think you’ve probably seen it in the other comments, but I’ll try to explain it here as well. The evil grin is a reference to Alice in the wonderland, it resembles the Cheshire Cat’s grin which means that Alice is waking up from her dream, which Viviz used to represent a reality call from Gfriend disbandment. Another one is that in the end of the performance, the back up dancer made a clock which goes from 2:06 to 1:16, meaning that Viviz wants to go back in time to when they were still Gfriend. Also the blue butterflies can be seen as reference to the butterfly effect, also known as the chaos theory. It’s definition being that the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state. Blue butterflies have also been a constant symbolism not only for time travel but also for transformation in several Gfriend music videos, e.g. fingertip, crossroads, apple. Gfriend uses butterflies to describe their ability to transform and change into different concepts, while Viviz uses it to describe their transformation from Gfriend to Viviz, as butterflies are also known for metamorphosis. It’s ok tho, the performance has a lot of tiny details that can be easily missed if you’re not too familiar with Gfriend. I didn’t even understand it at first but I was intrigued by the performance so I did more research on it. There’s probably more that I haven’t mentioned here. I’m sure you will be able to find them in the comments. I’ve seen people mention references to the choreography in different Gfriend songs as well but I won’t put it here as I’m wasn’t a buddy so I don’t know too much about it.
