Vito Andolini's mother gets killed. The Godfather II
Фильм және анимация
In The Godfather Part II, Vito Andolini's mother is portrayed in a flashback scene in which she is killed by Don Ciccio's men in Corleone, Sicily. Vito, who is just a child at the time, witnesses his mother's murder, which sets him on a path of vengeance and ultimately leads to him becoming the powerful mafia don, Vito Corleone. The character of Vito's mother is only briefly shown in the film and is not given a significant role or backstory beyond her tragic death.

I believe this is the coldest scene from the entire Godfather series, to kill a woman a mother begging for her only son's life, esp after killing her husband and oldest son, its not only heartless, but soulless

The mom should have drove that blade into Don Ciccio throat when she had the chance. Afterall, he kill her husband and oldest son. He ended up killing her as well anyway. Plus, he threatened to kill Vito. But in the end Vito got his revenge.

This scene brought tears to my eyes.
Very powerful and sad scene.
In the end he got his revenge. He gutted that Don like a fish and got him "ordered to the book store."
Thomassino's about that life, based on the way he pops those two henchmen, lol. Would've loved to see more of his side of this tale.

Young boy watched his mom get killed.. Because the old man said "when he become a man, he will have his revenge"... That already consider writing war declare (and death wish) letter. Just when he saw his mom killed, that mean the old man just sign his death wish and war letter. When vito grown up, at last his had his own revenge.
How to create your nemesis in 1 easy step lmao
She came with a knife if he said he said No. She offered her life for her son. You can’t have it both ways.
Look at Vitto's face when she says he's weak ..... He looks like Batman 😅😅😅
Talking about him like he's not sitting right there
The old Don wasn't wrong about Vito. Vito went back to carve the Don like a fish.
Such a proud woman groveling to the POS who murdered her husband and eldest son in order to save Vito is a story of true love and devotion to her family. Young Vito runs off "see ya,don Ciccio..carve ya later!"
And 20 years later Vito returns to make Ciccio kebab
In the book,Only Vito's father was killed. There was no mention of an older brother.
Such a great film. Just the light in this scene justifies its magnificence.
When you sign your own death warrant. Vito came straight back for that revenge.
Weird thing is Don Cicci was right, Vito did grow strong and he did seek his vendetta
The mother's impassioned words and the mafia boss' prophetic words.
According to the book, Don Chicho lived for more than 90 years, so in principle his cruelty worked for his benefit.
Looks like Don Cicci called it right after all 😵🔫💀
He goes back to that exact same property as well. The ground is mother was murdered on. Talk about "full circle ".
She messed up by not killing him when he said no...
Blew her out of her shoes.
What a horrible sight for a young boy who probably didn't understand all the consequences. He grew, got revenge and in some ways became like that old, disgusting Don. 💫

This was a heart wrenching scene. Vito had every reason to avenge her murder, right before his very young eyes
He'll regret this act of atrocity

Man, he ran all the way to the Hollywood Studios. Kid got sports!
These were the grandchildren of Raffael Andolini, the pirate who teamed with a Predator back in the 1700's.
Turns out Ciccio was right. He did come for revenge when he was older 😂😂😂
By trying to silence the only source of revenge for him, he wound up ensuring Vito would return to exact bloody vengeance.
In the end Vito made him going to the bookstore....
