Wotso Videos Something I actually am curious about. Why are Vitani's eyes blue, when Zira's are red, and Scar's are green? They never stated Scar wasn't her father, only that he wasn't Kovu's father. So it gets me curious why Vitani didn't inherit either eye color, since Lion King seemed to show that the eye color of the character is passed down from one of their parents, if not both.

She deserved more time. Her turn could be seen as out-of-left-field because we didn't see enough of her. If we could've seen her interactions with Kovu as he grew and see that she wanted more than violence, it wouldn't have been seen as completely random.

Vitani is one of my favourite characters of ever. She is so badass and loyal, but very underrated. She deserved much more than being only a secondary antagonist turned 'good', Disney could give us much scenes with his pride expecially with Kovu. She was been always obedient to Zira, even after Nuka died, but then after Kiara's dialogue she suddenly changed his mind....if only Disney could make a scene from Vitani's point of view about how she went to regret all what Zira taught to her for all her life

I also figured that Vitani wanted better for her mother. The way she says "enough" sounded like she was exhausted. Maybe she was tired of seeing Zira destroy herself. Maybe Vitani hoped that by joining Kovu, Zira would change her mind and join them too. I think a small part of her wanted them to be a family, and start a new life together. It's sad that that didn't happen, but at least she still has Kovu.

Well, there is another story about Vitani. It says that Vitani liked Kopa, from the 6 lion king adventure books. She liked him enough to be mad at Zira for killing him. Kopa was Simba's first cub, and so when Zira saw them together, she made a plan to kill Kopa. This is why Zira was banished from the pride lands. Simba was shocked and angry, and Vitani was very sad. At the end of the second movie, Vitani remembers Kopa, and betrays her mother. This is probably part of the reason why Vitani betrayed Zira at the end of the movie. You can say the books aren't cannon, but they give ALOT of info on all of our favorite Lion King characters. Thanks!

Yeah I definitely think Vitani's mindset when Kovu didn't kill Simba makes sense considering her situation: all she's ever been told from birth is that Scar ruled the Pride Lands in a time of prosperity until a power-hungry Simba murdered him and stole his rule, banishing the rightful heir and his innocent followers. She was simply lied to her whole life.

It’s like simba and the hyenas worked together to murder scar without even intending to do so. Simba threw scar off the cliff he ended up surviving it, but he didn’t survive the brutal attack from the hyenas. Simba threw scar off the cliff most likely as self defense. The hyenas murdered scar because he basically betrayed them, trying to gang simba’s remorse. Scar’s intent was not to betray his own hyenas but he still did it and he ended up paying the price for it, which was his life.

Vitani, like Kovu, was just raised to hate Simba's regime without a chance to experience a different way of life... until Kiara came into the picture. Unlike Nuka, I actually think Vitani's character arc makes her a more sympathetic character, and the fact that she's the daughter of the villain makes her disillusionment to the vindictive fanaticism that Zira led the Outlanders with that much more impactful.

Considering Vitani's age, she must be Kovu's older twin sister. Because unless a lioness looses her cubs, she'll only have a litter every two years or so.

@@mazju9420 when Scar took over pride rock he forced nala to have a cub with him an that was vitani. Zira was jalous that nala got a daughter and she didn't. After that nala searched for simba in the hope that he was stil alive and could help safe pride rock. When simba became the leader of pride rock he banished zira and the other lionesses who still believed in scar to the outlands. Nala new that vitani wouldn't be safe if she stayed in the pride lands and she knew that zira wanted a daughter. So nala asked zira to take care of vitani. Zira of course agreed to this because it is scar's cub and she always wanted a daughter.

Príncipe De Gales It’s possible that they met off-screen sometime. I agree that Vitani isn’t Nala’s daughter but I do think it’s a possibility that the two are related, like maybe Vitani is a half-sister or niece to Nala?

A parent’s teachings has more of an impact on the child than some people think. It’s what you’ve been taught your entire life, from beginning to end. It’s so ingrained into your head that most of the time, it’s difficult to see there are other ways to handle things. You don’t realize that your life could be different because it’s all you’ve ever known. And with a parent, a beloved person in your life, teaching that, it becomes even more easier to believe that this is the only way to live. And unfortunately, these situations are very common and mostly seen in abusive environments. There’s no way out that can be seen or is thought to even exist.

Nuka, like Scar and Zira, had to die. Nuka is actually a bad guy. He's so proud and unstable. Nuka only wanted to make Scar reign, and in thus to gain the respect and attention of his mother and his pride.

When Vitani disobeys her mother for the first time, Zira decided the best response was to have her own daughter killed! The outsiders sided with Vitani so this didn't happen, but still Zira had just lost a son and she was willing to kill her own daughter in order to achieve her goal!!!

Well Zira is not Vitani's mother her mother is Tama a lioness that looks very similar to Vitani . Zira killed Tama and took Vitani but maybe one of the outsiders is her there are many unknown lionesses in Zira's pride i know some of their names other than Zira , Kovu , Vitani and Nuka some of them are errr Dotty and errr Tama i don't have much information about those lionesses . But Tama is non - canon she is only present in the books there are more non - canon characters like Malka and Kopa . Also there many unknown lions of Simba's pride including himself , Nala , Sarabi and Sarafina are some Pridelanders . Vitani is not that rough like Zira but she supports Kovu and sometimes she is very funny but Zira's plan rises after Kovu gets along with Kiara and the other Pridelanders . Zira's plan

Vitani is such an underrated character. I also, like a lot of other people, think that Vitani was never intentionally malicious. She was just brainwashed by Zira into thinking that the Pridelanders were corrupted. Vitani was a diligently loyal follower, who probably fought for the Outlander pride, her mother, and Kovu's honor. I feel that she was also trying to please Zira, just like Nuka. As Kiara gives her "We are One" speech, Vitani reflects on this, and comes to the realization that war and violence never brings peace. War leads to more war, just like violence leads to more violence - a never ending cycle of destruction. When she stands up to Zira, the Outlanders also realize this. However, I think that the entire Outlander pride turned on Zira because she stated that if Vitani refused to battle, then she would die as well. They now saw Zira for who she truly was: someone that would turn on her own family in order to satisfy her selfish needs of power and greed.

I think Vatani betrayed Zira because after witnessing the death of Nuka and hearing Kiara's words about reuniting with Simba and the Pridelanders (after which he decided to move past his era of hatred). Then after realizing that fighting amongst her own people was useless, she decided that it was time to convince the other lionesses in her pride to unite once again under the rule of Simba (and Kovu) respectfully. That's why I think Vatani disobeyed her mother's command to attack. There's one more thing that I just don't understand, why didn't Zira stop trying to avenge Scar after losing all of her followers? Why didn't she decide to move past avenging him?

Not sure if this is correct, but I have an idea. Due to how devoted she seemed to Scar and his ideals, she was probably a more loyal follower, maybe she even loved him. And if someone you loved was killed, would you simply be persuaded by words to stop attempting to kill their killer? And would you even consider forgiving them just like that? Yes, the hyenas were the true culprits, but she doesn't know that, so she blames Simba since it was presumed he had killed Scar. Zira didn't try to get over avenging Scar because of her unhealthy obsession/love for him, and because of how unfair it probably seemed to her. In her eyes, Simba had killed the one she loved, banished her to the Outlands, caused her youngest son to betray her, technically killed her eldest son, and caused her followers and daughter to betray her as well. The moment the last one happened, there was no way that fire was going to be quenched by a few words. The fact that she probably could've went slightly insane doesn't help, and just seeing Simba take everything she had caused an inability to change. There was no way she was just going to forgive the one who she thought had taken EVERYTHING away from her. There was no way a few words were going to help her get over what she thought was all the fault of Simba. But, like I said, just an idea, and it's not concrete, so take it with a grain of salt.

@@moonlightwolf200 I have a much darker theory why she rebelled against zira,I think she was actually subconsciously jealous of kovu and fears and hates zira due to her taking care of him all the time,I mean you would be kind of jealous if your mother started to only cared for your siblings but not yourself and she was only following orders so that she might one day find an opportunity to rebel against zira or not get punished by zira as she seems like she would punish someone if they did something wrong and do whatever she wants and she saw that kovu broke up the fight and wanted to stop fighting hence she took the opportunity and rebeled against her and the way she rebelled was in a very weak way because she was scared of her own mother I mean zira scratches kovu just out of anger that nuka died,this shows that zira is the kind of parent who WILL punish her children if they were to mess up and Vitani speaks like a soldier and talks like one because she is trained by zira to so out of fear that her mother might hurt her and reacts disappointingly that kovu didn't kill scar because she had to inform zira which might make her angry

Not to mention Vitani was banished by Simba, so her anger agains Simba would be understandable... i could understand how she felt heart broken when Kovu didnt attack i think she could have also felt a bit betrayed by Kovu, the brother she grew up to worship and praise as the ‘savior of the outlanders’.... Its understandable but I think she realized why Kovu changed when Kiara said the pride land lions and outlanders were the same, i think youre right that Nuka’s death weighed on her and she wasn’t really ready to loose another family member to that fight....

If you think about it, Vitani's motive was to secure a better life for her family, and she worked towards that goal with stubborn ferocity. Her single drive and passion is family. Following the death of Nuka, she begins to realize that this master plan of Zira's defeats what Vitani thinks and believes is the intended purpose for the mission. While Zira is driven by hate and a desire for revenge, Vitani fights only for family once again. She's smart enough to realize that Zira's actions have lead to the lionesses being in a worse situation than before, and sees a clear and direct way to achieve her goal which would be joining with Simba's pride. I suppose what I was trying to put into perspective is that Vitani isn't a bad character at all, she just values family and the wellbeing of people she cares about more than any 'good' or 'bad' alignment. Probably one of the most morally pure characters i've seen, because she has never betrayed her sense of what's important. I don't think she ever 'realized war was bad' or 'changed her ways' or 'became a better lioness', she was just realistic and only concerned for her family. Whatever 'side' she was on didn't matter to her.

Not So Normal Studios 1. Blue Eyes: Scar and Kovu both have green eyes and Mufasa and Zira both have red eyes(and yet, none of these lions are related) 2. Scar and Nala: In the deleted scene, Scar wants Nala to be his queen. Nala refuses, but Scar won’t leave her alone(did not rape her, just flirted with her) And By the way, if this scene was deleted because of sexual harassment, the why do we have The Hunchback of Notre Dame? Then, Disney realized that Gaston did it, Jafar did it, and even Frollo did it. So they decided to use it in the Lion King musical

Scar didn't get his way with Nala. She refused, hence why she slapped him and told him to stay away from her. After that, Nala ran away to find help. I like to believe Tama, a lioness from the Six New Adventures books is Vitani's mom (and Chumvi, another character from the same series is Vitani and Kovu's father) because other than Vitani, she is the only lioness with a hair tuft. My theory is, though she is unofficial to the movie, she was in a way, part of it because if you think about it, where else would Vitani inherit her hair tuft? And her blue eyes, could very come from one of Tama's parents, or one of Tama's other family members. The parents themselves don't neccesarialy have to have traits the cubs inherit. Some kids look like other family members, so taking that into account, and the fact Zira does not have a hair tuft or pink nose, and the fact Scar likely did not mate with any of the lionesses, and was only interested in Nala, who turned him down/rejected him, his only other choice to gain an heir would be to kidnap a cub and either severely injure the parents if not kill them knowing his nature, then give the cubs to Zira, since Nuka says in Lion King 2 Simba's Pride, Scar took Kovu in, and considering none of the cubs call Scar Father, that poves he did not father Nuka, Vitani or Kovu along with Nuka saying Scar wasn't even Kovu's father. Vitani does address Zira as Mother, but probably because she never knew her real mother and was never told about her and Zira used her as a pawn in her plot of revenge. As for Vitani's father, I like to believe she and Kovu are littermates because they are the same age and size as cubs, and if Scar were to take in an heir, it wouldn't have been a lioness, but since he never had the guts to kill cubs( he left that job to the hyenas in the first lion king movie), he spared Vitani.

I think the tiny had thought that it was bad to fight because of Kiara’s words and so she betrayed your mom which was actually pretty shocking

The line: "A roasty toasty Princess" always made me laugh. Maybe it's the way Nuka says it and then burns himself afterwards. Gotta love his crazy clumsiness

Vitani is such a fascinating character. We hardly know anything about her, but she’s so notable despite being a very small part in the overall story. Vitani is my personal favorite TLK character, and I’m not even sure why. She’s just so.. I don’t even know.

I have a theory. They hyenas were respectful but one member of the clan wanted to oppose the king. Killing her former monarch she took charge and manipulated the hyena clan to disobey the king and hunt when ever and any where. The king furious at the hyenas action banished them. ..... Hope this theory made sense.

lyrebird207 They're natural enemies because they eat the same food. That would also be why you don't see leopards. Less competition=more food for the lions. You can see in the first movie that there are a whole lot of hyenas, so they probably kicked them out because so many hyenas need a lot of meat and there wasn't enough for the lions.

Alyssa Hansen hyeenas eat the scrap like bones and broke down meat so they come in and eat after the lions are done actually.

This video made me recall real comparisons to Vitani. She definitely reminds me a lot of Megan Phelps-Roper and others who left Westboro Baptist Church.

FINALLY, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR THIS!!!!

I think it was more simple than that. She believed that Kovu killing Simba would be what would allow the Outsiders to return to the Pridelands, but after losing Nuka and hearing that Kiara wants peace, which means becoming one pride and returning to the Pridelands peacefully, and seeing Kovu and Kiara, the Heirs of Scar and Simba together, means Kovu would become king one day, and she saw how pointless any more fighting was. She wanted to go back to the Pridelands and now they could go peacefully. Also, as we see in The Lion Guard, she became the new Leader of a new Lion Guard and her upbringing to be a warrior allows her to to tell Kion she does not need The Roar to lead the Lion Guard unlike Kion, who said he didn't know if he could lead the Guard without The Roar. This proves her desire for peace was the right thing for her pride and for herself.

I love how you know so much about these characters.

I also think in the moment Kiara was the only one without hate. She instead feared with her heart that the hate both prides felt would lead to her losing everyone she knew not just to death but to evil. She saved her father with words of wisdom that echoed from Mufasa and kings before from becoming what he was fighting. In that moment I think Vitani actually let go of her hate when she realised Kiara was not expressing hate but disappointment and having never witnessed this act before it confused her and made her realise for the first time that resolutions could be achieved without fighting. Yet Zira continues to express rage and she can hear from the brief silence that it is her mother who is the only one with a problem and senses selfish reasons. In seeing that she knows that for the sake of her pride they must not follow her anymore. Standing against her is the last ditch effort to help her save herself yet Zira is blinded by hate so at least tries to kill Simba! But Kiara won't let her and by pushing her away they go over the cliff. Even with the high ground and Zira's life in her paws she can't save her for Zira would rather die than go on living in a world where the pride are one.

I just noticed- when their saying “Kovu what a guy!” their saying “Scar what a guy!”

😕 Although I do understand her thinking I'm happy to see that she eventually realised it was wrong

Nala still came out on top when Vitani attacked her.

Another great video, Issac. 🙂There are a few stories that explain that Vintani was Nala’s daughter from an accidental pregnancy with Scar and Nala gave Vintani away to Zara for the sake of her daughter’s and her safety. I have no idea why. There’s also another story that Vintani is a friend and later mate to Simba and Nala’s older son, Kopa. Vintani’s stories caused a lot of debate but one thing is for certain, Vintani is one of the best characters in the TLK universe. 🙂🦋✨

So I always noticed the Outlanders being angular but as a kid I thought that was just a way to tell the difference between the bad lions and the good lions but looking at this I see they were skinny from malnutrition. When later on when they are bowing you can still tell who was an outlander because their grey is still a grey color but their bodies are fuller like the Pride Land lions!

Vitani was such an underrated character imo As much as I like the theory that Vitani was Scar and Nala's "secret" cub, I really don't take it as canon.

We need a lion king 3 who’s with me?

I feel like Vitani had to choose between good or evil and she chose a peaceful life in the Pridelands. Zira was not a good mother to her children when they were born. Vitani was bad at first but she changed her mind. Zira threatened to kill Vitani because she did not want to fight. It is all Zira's fault. Zira and Scar treated their kids like they were dirt, so she had to choose peace over war and fighting! I am so proud of Vitani for sticking up to her mom. Go Vitani! She chose not to fight because she saw how Kovu changed from bad to good because she saw how he would not attack Simba. He loved Kiara and spent a little bit of time with her. Kovu taught her how to hunt and he saved her from almost dying because of a fire. Kiara loved Kovu back cause him and Kiara first met and played with each other when they were Cubs and they were almost friends.

she never turn on the outlander which she was made to protect the lions from there and make Kovu king which he also would become if he stayed with Kiara. so 2 out of the 3 things Zira though her ended up true. Kovu as king the outlanders in the pride lands. only thing not happening is Simbas death

Vitani is one of my favorite characters of Lion King 2 and the Lion Guard series. She is so badass and loyal and forgiving, but very underrated.

My Theory: Vitani was born to lions called Kiko(male) and Marana(female) but she was born as a pridelander but somehow got found by Zira and she made Vitani a outlander even tho she loved the pridelands Zira forced her to hate them Vitani tried everything to get out Zira made her stay Months later she met Kopa then Zira knew with the help of Nuka then Zira you know but then thats the movie then after her and Kopa had 3 cubs Nash(male) Ash(female) and Tama(female)

Im so happy someone agrees that SOMEONE agrees Vitani is not Nalas daughter. I find it sick and disgusting that Scar would rape Nala, and I’m glad that part was deleted. I hate that theory because it really lowers the bar for a lot of characters I love like Nala, Zira, Vitani and especially Scar. I don’t know, it just makes me hate them more. It would make a huge part of Vitani’s character (her loyalty to Zira) seem absolutly pointless. These are my reasons for why I don’t believe this theory. The line, “where’s your pretty daughter Nala?”: Ok, obviously Vitani is referring to Kiara, not herself. I think she is mocking Nala because Kiara wasn’t in the fight. She must think of Kiara as a coward. Or maybe she is mocking Nala because Kiara ran off, although I don’t know how she would find that out. She also seems to be really bitter about something, and I think that thing is that Kovu is in love with Kiara. Her name: Vitani’s name means “demon of war” in Swahili. I don’t think Nala would name her cub something that violent, it seems more like a name Zira would name her. Her appearance: So Vitani has blue eyes? I don’t think this is enough of a reason for her being Nalas cub. Well Nala doesn’t have blue eyes, her eyes are teal, and her mothers eyes are green. Scar also has green eyes. So if vitani’s parents were Scar and Nala, she would probably have green eyes. Also, none of Nalas other cubs have blue eyes. We don’t know the father of Vitani, Kovu and Nuka, so we can’t say if he has blue eyes or not, but we don’t know Zira’s parents either and they might have blue eyes. Another thing about her appearance is her look as an adult. She looks very much like Zira when she’s an adult, but not anything like Nala. The deleted scene: First off, if the scene was true, Scar wouldnt have had the time to rape Nala. We see Nala run off to find Simba after the scene. And, can I just remind you it’s a Disney movie? Disney would NEVER allow Scar to rape Nala. So those are my reasons.

@@manicmonday9353 Nala took over the role of leading the lionesses in hunting of course she'd know the name of the Cubs of her former lionesses. Shes at least older then Keira so she was exiled with her mother as a cub.

They might add it to the live action version though and I believe that I saw that Nala actually fought back when Scar was approaching her and the other lioness' came to her defense as well, so I don't think he actually did rape her.
