Vitamins In My Veins? Benefits Of IV Nutrient Therapy!

IV Therapy involves administering high doses of vitamins, minerals, or other substances directly into a vein through an intravenous line. This method allows for higher absorption rates compared to taking these nutrients orally because the digestive system can only absorb so much at once.
When you take vitamins orally, your body has to break them down through the digestive system before they can be absorbed into your bloodstream. This process isn't always efficient and can result in a significant portion of the nutrients being lost along the way. With IV therapy, however, nutrients are delivered directly into your veins bypassing this step entirely. As a result, you get a high absorption rate, ensuring that every dose is fully utilized by your body.
Another advantage of IV therapy over oral supplementation is the quick results it provides. When you're looking for a rapid boost in energy levels or immune system support, an IV infusion can be just what you need. Unlike pills and capsules that take time to digest and absorb, nutrients from an IV are immediately available to your body, providing quick results without any delay.
IV therapy also offers the flexibility of customization. Depending on your specific needs or goals, healthcare professionals can create a personalized infusion tailored just for you. - this level of customization isn't possible with over-the-counter supplements that come in standardized doses.
While both oral supplementation and IV therapy have their benefits, the latter offers several advantages that make it an attractive option for those looking to support their health and well-being in a more efficient way.

The algorithm on KZread is so strange...I’m on 24 hr TPN , (nutritional IV)I get all of my nutrition from there. I am prone to bowel blockages which require hospitalization even from drinking nutritional drinks I get them, because of this my diet is extremely limited and I mainly reliant on TPN at the moment. It’s interesting how popular IV nutrition is now becoming among society.

@@elinahalla yea its odd like if ppl can eat or drink ,why cant they get their nutrients through what they eat or drink? I wonder how safe it is .... I know TPN Long term can have serious negative effects like liver failure, and requires close monitoring, I have to get weekly blood draws and each month they test my liver function to make sure it is still safe to proceed with treatment...in my opinion IV nutrition should be a last resort and it’s interesting how now it’s becoming a fad like do people know what they’re messing with?

Yes, you can through IV. That's practically how people who cannot consume food orally like those whom jaw is wired shut or coma patient consume their nutrients.

This form of treatment is expensive and just another fad. It may work for a hangover as the cause is dehydration so a hydration iv may help with recovery, but honestly you should get everything you need nutrition wise and vitamins from a well balanced diet.
