I think he was gonna KO Lewis in the next couple rounds if they didn’t stop it. It was a nasty cut but he was ready to rumble.

I just recently watched it again. Lewis started taking over in the 3rd round and he had great 4th and 5th rounds. But then Vitali came back in the 6th even taking that monster of an uppercut on the chin. Such a shame it was stopped. It honestly could have gone either way as it was fought at such a rapid pace.

If he doesn't was banned for olympic games course of Doping, I think he won the Gold Medal too. A great guy and living legend.

Vitali swatting fighters around the ring like flies. The only boxers who gave him any trouble were Chris Byrd, Lennox Lewis and the late Corrie Sanders. Besides these three gents, nobody even came close to testing 'Dr Ironfist' in the ring. He was a better fighter than his younger brother, Wladimer, but, yet, it was the younger Klitchko that got more media attention and the bigger, more lucrative fights. Well, I guess this is a prime example of why life just isn't fair!😂
