Ya'll it's 3 am and i finished this movie at around 12:30 a.m and i am ugly crying in my bed and just watching edits and amvs and i still can't get enough. This movie is just something else. Something i cant put into words. It has done something to my heart that nothing ever has. And I am just speechless, so many thoughts running through my mind and i still cant process them. I guess that's what an impact of one of the most beautiful movies in the world feels like. And i am just fucking grateful that the movie had a good ending coz god forbid if the movie would ended in any other way than it did, Idk.. I would have cried myself to death or some shit. Like after all the pain and longing and suffering that they both went through, I just couldn't bear the thought of them not ending up together. Also Makato Shinkai.. Gawwddd I cant even express the amnt of love and respect that I have for this man. Ok bye 😭✋

I had similar feelings 2 years ago, when I watched this movie for the first time on Finnish TV, the impact on me was huge. I could almost divide my life in two parts, life before Your Name and life after Your Name. I like very much Shinkai's Weathering With You too, but it didn't make same kind of huge impact on me.

that's not a good film, that's only a romantic story with a lot of little problem and an inconsistent plot. I'm glad you like it, but say "one of the most beautiful movies in the world" it's just pure ignorance and stupidity, as well as an enormous sign of superficiality in the vision of the film, which unfortunately isn't so good like the animations.

to be honest no one would believe that this masterpiece of an anime was made in 2016 with such amazing visuals!
THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER WATCHED
The meteor scene always gives me chills and close to tears. Everything is up to this point a portrait of beauty and suddenly it becomes the definition of cosmic horror without losing anything of its gorgeousness.
This movie is 5 years old and in a few months it will be 6, I can't believe how quickly time passes and how well this movie has aged, no matter how many times I see makoto shinkai's movies since I saw garden of works it doesn't stop surprise me how in each movie it greatly improves the quality of animation and film script, i hope that the movie that opens at the end of this year is spectacular

I do hope his new movie is great. Weathering with you wasn’t as good IMO but it was also a very different movie. It’s message was about loving yourself and your name didn’t really have a message. There was nothing he was trying to tell you in your name.

A fantastic story throwing you to the edge of emotions. A visual quality challenging the boundaries of anime art itself. A soundtrack that touches your soul. Shinkai sir NEVER EVER disappoints.

Shinkai never disappoints? Literally one of the worst creator i know, a lot of similiar film and none that came out good, lol... he is lucky to have at least one good staff.

@@akashchopra9929 Your name is just bad in everything, so it's not difficult to find something better.. Mamoru Osoda: Belle, wolf children or the boy and the beast? Every film of ghibli? Paprika? Perfect Blue? A lot of film which are sequel of the anime like madoka magica, Evangelion, Kizumonogatari, Gintama? That piece of art of Liz and the Blue bird? I'm happy to be Italian because here we have some good creator who helped me to understand Anime and don't just say every my stupid and turned off brain could say just because i think it's right. In other country there are really to much anime fan that doesn't know anything of this cultur and watch every series with their brain off, you can love even shit but you can't really say your name is objective good, your taste it's separeted from your critic part, your logic.

*It's Not A movie, It is not. - Its an emotion that makes you feel what is life.*
I suffer with depression/anxiety and watching this video really helped me bring my mood up, made me wanna go out the house more too. I believe there's way more to life than feeling down and locking yourself away from the outside world, I really hope this video helps others in some type of way the same way it helped me... for the people going through a rough patch in life I hope u find peace and happiness God bless.❤🙂

Literally the most beautiful 4k anime
One thing Makoto Shinkai films NEVER disappoint. every frame is an wallpaper.
every single frame of this movie can be hanged on a wall. not a single frame was wasted. everything is thought out! ive watched this over a dozen times now and i still the giggles while viewing it. Especially as a Graphic designer myself, i tend to be sensitive on the designs and aesthetics of things, and this movie hits every spot just right!
this is a masterpiece so glad it was available in 4k.

I watched this movie today morning and it mad me cry so bad its a really good movei considering that it came out like 8 years ago and every single frame of it is a wallpaper and the story and all the things are so good and emotional

I have the deluxe version of the album saved on my Spotify. I like Weathering With You as a movie a little bit more, but I think Your Name wins out on music and visuals. Very gorgeous. Makes me think of the first time I saw 5 Centimeters Per Second, the scene where the rocket takes off at daybreak. That was so beautiful and made me regret not having seen such beautiful thinga before. Though watching a lightning storm on the top floor of a building with an online friend I finally met in person after 7 years (now it's been well over a decade) would probably be one of my favorite visual moments in my life :)

Watch it again. You notice so many things and there is so much foreshadowing. He does such a good job. Also I heard someone say the whole movie is a flashback that both characters get when they see each other on the train in the OP.
I like the way of it's art and illustration, awesome
W movie 10/10 would watch again. The story is fire
