Visualization of tensors - part 2A
In this video we visualize the electromagnetic tensor. In Part 2A we use it to represent magnetic fields. Part 2B extends it to electric fields as well.
Part 3 will dig deeper into the mathematical definitions, and show more example for physics.

A word on what's coming next: Part 2B is almost ready and it should be published in a few weeks. I decided to split them only recently. Then I plan another sorting video. Also planned for 2024: part 3 in the tensor series, and more.

Because it rarely happens?
Thank you so much for these videos, I feel like these videos provide a much needed visual demonstration of the geometric nature of tensors in a way that chalk on blackboard struggles to achieve
Please never stop uploading! Your videos are amazing!
I was so excited for this video, the electromagnetic tensor is such an elegant object that seldom has much youtube coverage
Dude, you're releasing these videos while I'm taking solid mechanics and getting my first introduction to stress tensors. Granted we're doing a massive simplification of these ideas, but getting a more in-depth understanding of tensors is really cool and something that I'm sure will help me further into my degree.
You've managed to explain tensors better than anything else I've found. Thank you
Keep making videos, you explained this subject very nicely and intuitively, giving me the motivation to learn this subject and not spend hours upon hours in frustration trying to get the intuition for this subject, you deserve more, thank you for this video.

Just in time for my tensor calculus course
Be right back, rewatching part 1
AAAAA i love your videos and wish you could upload more often!!! They give me the nostalgia of late 90s/early 00s Science Channel but with topics that matter at a college level, and they're so comfortably explained!!
Have been waiting for this for a couple of months now. The 1st tensor video was very unique. Thank you for sharing your personal jewels.
I didn't expect this to go so much towards relativity! Having studied it, I'm excited to see how you'll continue!
best video on this topic
thank you for your amazing work. Tensors are always difficult for me, and this video does a great job of visualizing them.
This is good. I wish I had seen this in high school. (:
Thanks ❤
My goodness! What a beauty! Have no enough words to show my appreciation. A huge thank you!
Thanks for your videos !!!They are great. I am a new sub. It's really easy to visualize with your videos
What a fantastic video!!
The best explanation of Tensors I have seen, thank you, made it really clear and easy to follow. I can already see how these now apply to General Relativity. Really looking forward to 2B, the amount of work /commitment you have to put in to create such high quality material for us is staggering. Please keep it up.
Can't wait to see the next video, thanks for the hard work ;)
Lovely.
Your videos are amazing thank you for all the hard work the visualizations are so good!
thank you so much for the amazing explanation
You are genious !!! Congratulations for the video !!!
Finally, the sequel we've all been waiting for.
man your cliffhanger at the end makes me so curious for the second part of the video!
:) THANKS
waiting for part 2B and the comment readers... suggest me some books on tensors please... getting started (almost)
Thank you so much guys!!! This is great!!!
Thank you🌹. These are solid 😅 concepts for magnetic and electric fields.
HYPE!!! THIS IS SO HYPE!!! I LOVE THIS KZread CHANNEL!! HYPE AF!!!
I'm interested to know if you plan to talk about fluid mechanics in this series. It would be great
Waiting on part 3
thank you so much!
oh that's insane woah
4:20 idea of fiber bundle 4:49 section of bundle is what we call field
I gotta say, the intuitive understanding hasn't arrived yet. For these special cases, sure, but not in general. Looking forward to the continuation of the series!

atleast there is intuitive understanding. That alone makes me very happy. Anything is better than nothing.

3:27 what makes this one non-linear? How are we supposed to tell this one is non-linear just by seeing one layer of it? How do we know that it doesn't scale linearly as it grows? You didn't show it at different sizes, or give any other reason why it is necessarily non-linear.
this is the same as studying manifolds right?
🛑Last episode was 9 months ago🤏 u r so early 😒
I don't understand any of that, but thanks bro.
Nooo, I just realize he only uploads every many moons. :’)
The occasional silence scares me.
