As a local Vietnamese currently living abroad, I'd say all the food places that Julia went to are pretty legit, especially the Banh mi, Banh xeo, and the family-style meal restaurant. Your video makes me miss the taste of those dishes 😭Thanks for the video, it could be a short travel guide when you're in HCMC.

I love that you're connecting back with roots! I still have to go back to Laos with my mom but until then I'm too scared to go without her LOL. banh canh and bun rieu is my absolute favorite vietnamese soup dishes. It's so exciting seeing you explore Vietnam!

I went for Christmas so late December until early January! It was hot but not a single rainy day in HCMC! It did rain quite a lot in Da Nang though

I heard Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese and English... Now I am confused...

I heard many shops will be close and street close to empty during TET. Happy trip.

I’ve never been to Hanoi but I’ve heard there’s a lot of stuff to do around there (like ha long bay, sapa). I’m biased though so def come to Ho Chi Minh City 😂
