Visiting Quirky Guerneville, CA...Cinematic Travels & Adventures
In late May 2022, my friend Diane and I visited Guerneville, CA, on the Russian River in Sonoma County. Here is a look around the town. #Guerneville #rosieokelly #russianriver #cinematic

I’m trying to watch but I keep crying. We had a cabin very near here, on the Russian River, from when I was 4 to 14. My Godmother lived in Guerneville and owned a campground / cabin resort on the River, and they had a supercool octagonal shaped cabin there, and ours was like an old fashioned house with a sun porch. We lived in Santa Cruz…… but visited often, and she was the ONE and ONLY person I could count on when I was young-I had an extraordinarily abusive childhood. She’s been gone far too long. Guerneville was my sanctuary…..Her son moved back after living in Europe many years….. and has a business downtown….we were besties, spending hours and hours playing around these parts- back in the 60s/70s when kids were allowed to play outside all damn day, and punishment was having to stay in the house! I called my Godmother’s husband Uncle, he was the most handsome man I’ve ever seen, a CHP 🥺……gawd memories are powerful things!!!!

I share in your memories, & sentiments. I continue to go there. The only difference is where I stay. I’m 62, and love walking through the canopy of trees. Taking it all in while eating a sandwich, & glass of wine. This treasure always brings me appreciation of the Redwoods, & the comfort of happy memories.
Cute little kitty cat, pretty mural thank you for sharing Guerneville, Rosie and Diane
I Love ❣️ that you take us right along with you Rosie. 🤗 The music 🎶 and your cinematic views definitely transcend. Thank you!
Good morning Rosie. I miss CA such a beautiful state. ❤️the River shots! Ty 4 sharing, you're soo talented✨
My dad always told us Santa Rosa would release treated sewer water into this river twice a year. Yuck.
Rosie, I truly felt like I was there with you, your photography is brilliant!
I sure do miss living there. 1981-1986
Beautiful cinematography dear Rosie & great music selection to boot 🤩💐

Awesome video Rosie. Thanks for taking us along on all your adventures.
Great place if you love homeless and big spiders .
Great cinematic video, Rosie. I loved it there and would like to go back. Very fun day! 👍🏻😀🥰
Oh I've been craving some good ice cream in a waffle cone like you wouldn't believe. LoL Looks like a happy place! It's beautiful there.
Thanks so much. I'm in Oregon now, but lived at the River for decades. So glad to see King's, Pat's, River Theater, 5&10 still there. Sold my house in 1991 ... my heart, however never left. I'm unable to travel, so this is a real treat.
Great Cinematic!
Good Morning 🌞😘😘

Just returned from Guerneville. We would consider it as a part time residence, but the deranged homeless people, lack of provisions and the distance to emergency healthcare services killed the deal for us. The nearby Armstrong Woods Redwoods was awesome… until I unknowingly stepped on someone’s dog poop and tracked it into the rental car and cabin!

Good Morning 🌞
That was beautiful .When I lived up in Ft. Bragg ,Ca,I took the 2 hr drive South.I wanted to see what they had for the LGBTQ people .I remember going to a Bar on Main st, and another time hanging out at a small bar that was part of a resort .It was nice and quiet yet different from Ft. Bragg .I never brought my swim suit with me so I never swam in the river.
the beautiful and inexpensive (or less expensive) places to live? pls and thnx!
My trailer was parked here in this town guerneville and it was broken into and ransacked everything was stolen all my possessions gone. The homeless are out of control here
