In fall of 2023 I had the opportunity to go visit Q LLC. Such a fun company making some cool stuff. It is awesome to watch the company grow over the years. Expanding in every direction. Bigger facility, more people, more products.
I really enjoy watching how things are made as well. All the cool fixtures to assist in assembly, as well as some of the new methods for welding and making parts.
And how about shooting? While it was rad to shoot the new 5.56 Honey Badger, to include on full auto, 8.6. Blackout is amazing. I got to shoot The Fix in 8.6 Blk. as well as the new Boom Box.
Overall a rad time out there.

I just got a porq Chop a 12” barrel going to file form 1 and turn my 308 fix into an 8.6 blackout. That full auto boombox gave me a woody.
Man the 8.6 hitting steel sounds like a ringing a bell.
Just got the q fix and i love it.

Was that the Boombox with an 8 inch barrel? Also how much louder is it compared to 300 BLK?

That rail looks monolithic on the one rifle. Nice.

Kind of. The fix has a separate chassis, hand guard, and top rail. The top rail screws into the top of the receiver and the the top of the hand guard making the attachment between them more solid. Different but interesting IMO.
Q makes a nice product, I have a few. It would be even better if their customer service didn’t SUCK!!! I bought a Trash Panda, waited almost a year for the ATF, got it home and discovered that it the Cherry Bomb that they included was threaded for 1/2x28, so it was useless for me on a rifle chambered in a .30 caliber cartridge. Contacted Q and their response was, “sorry, we don’t have any”. Funny, there were some on GunBroker, so I paid $100 for an item that should have come with the their product, and NO, my dealer didn’t steal it, I know him quite well. Q gained a few dollars, they lost a customer for life. They obviously don’t give a damn about their customers once they have their money.

Was the suppressor supposed to come with the 1/2x28 cherry bomb or was it actually supposed to come with a 5/8x24 version? No hate, just wondering what it was listed to come with?

@@SabertoothDefenseSystems It was supposed to come with a 5/8x24. That’s the way it was listed on Silencer Shop’s website when I bought it. There’s a variety of ways that Q could have handled this. If they were out they could have put me on a list for when they make the next run, I’m okay with that. They could have said, “once something leaves our facility we don’t have control over it so we don’t know what happened but we can sell you one. I don’t like that as much but shit happens and I would have been okay with that. But, “sorry, you’re on your own, good luck”. NO, that shows me that they don’t give a damn once a product leaves their hands and they have their money.

Nice video. I’m torn between The Fix and the Boombox just based upon the sound. The Fix seems quite a bit quieter without all the moving parts of a semi-auto. Your thoughts?
