Visiting Nara Park in Japan!

On our most recent adventure, we spent 3 weeks exploring Japan! We started off in Kyoto staying close to Kyoto Station. We went and checked out the Higashi-Honganji Temple, but we were all super jet lagged so decided to sleep and get a head start early next morning. Just before the sun came up, we grabbed breakfast from the Family Mart, and hopped on a train to Nara. We had an awesome time at Nara Park, feeding the deer and taking in the sites!

I am Polish . Do you know this story? In 1920 and 1922, Japan rescued 765 Polish orphans in Siberia. Poland asked Japan to rescue a Polish orphan in Siberia. Japan promised to rescue immediately. The smallest orphaned child was 2 years old. The child was crying near the dead mother. The Japanese rescued the orphan immediately. The child told the dead mother "Goodbye Mom". Japan rescued a total of 765 Polish orphans.Japan sent orphans to Japan for treatment.Orphans ate delicious and warm meals every day. All Polish orphans have recovered. Almost all Japanese donated money to save orphans. On the day of return, all 765 Polish orphans returned to Poland safely. In 2018, an elementary school commemorating this was completed in Warsaw. Thank you Japan. God bless Japan.

So you have never lived in Japan. And yet you decided that Japanese were peaceful and kind or the nicest people in the world .That hilarious. I used to live in Japan, for 25 years, lived there worked there, visited the country from north to south, east to west. Japanese are like people everywhere else, you have good ones, you have bad ones, and the country is everything but peaceful, it is just very good at looking like it it peaceful, but you don't need to scratch too deep bellow the surface to see the flaws. Personally i have never met more dysfunctional people than Japanese. This is the only country i have lived in and i have lived in over 20 countries where the locals are so uncomfortable with their own culture and way of life. Working in Japan, is hell on earth, even Japanese will agree with me, the country is so non ecological this is actually terrifying, human rights are very relative and you feel constantly controlled and freedom is barely existent. Animals rights do not exist, those deer are killed and served in local restaurants daily, the trucks bringing them to the abattoir come at night to pick up the one ready for the chop. The pet industry is the cruelest i have ever scene after China and Korea. minorities have no rights, foreigners have even less right than local minorities, men and women are still treated very differently and this led to a complete lack of natural interacting between the genders. Non straight sexual orientation are very strictly discriminated , being gay in Japan is sure to prevent you from acceding the best position and promotions at work so most gay people there hide it unless they were porn wealthy or with some sort of connection or just to be a clown on tv. TV is utter garbage, the police is insanely corrupted and do not respect the law at all, and discriminate based on your skin colour or your country of origin but also discriminate Japanese people themselves. In all the years i spent there i have never met one Japanese who had a good image of the police, not even the few policemen i met and made friends with. This is an amazing country in appearance with a tremendous culture and history but i did what i had to do there, worked , got my degrees and had a great experience, but i was very glad to move back to europe (I am icelandic living in switzerland) and though i love going back to Japan every now and then to meet my in laws and friends, i would never live in the country again, no matter what . I even sold my house there because i knew i would never spend more than a couple of weeks holiday every now and then , ever again. Japan is great when you are oblivious of the reality and just look at it as it wants you to see it, but when you try to pull the curtains and see what's hidden behind the beautiful artificial society, then you can never unsee it . I am too free to acceot living in japan where people expect you to live in a certain way in order to be socially accepted . Screw that ! My Japanese spouse would confirm everything i just wrote .

We had an unfortunate accident within the first 6 hours of arriving, where our youngest son slipped and fell on a step coming out of the baththub, cutting the back of his head. We ended up having to get an ambulance and going to emergency, where he got some staples to close the wound. Although it was a super stressful situation, everyone was super awesome and helpful though, even with the language barrier! He was ok though, just had to have a bandage on for the first few days!
