We visited Downderry lavender nursery to see how their lavender grows. It was a wonderful day and very informative but above all it was the most scented of our visits so far and alive with our best friends the bees. The passion at Downderry to build up such a perfect collection, not only inspires gardeners and artists but in this case creates an oasis for our pollinators.

Loved this... I have a bank of lavender planted by the property’s previous owner. It’s alive with bees , butterflies and hover flies all through the flowering period and the scent is gorgeous, I did plant Alliums in between and love the combination. I also learnt a valuable lesson here... not to water! Thank you for the visit and hope to see a tutorial ( for beginners 😬) real soon.
