Visiting Deer Park in Japan🦌 | Nara Park | ASMR

We went to Nara Park, a famous sightseeing spot where many deer live🦌🦌🦌! In Nara, deer have long been considered messengers of the gods. Nara's deer are still treasured as a natural monument. You can meet so many deer just by walking!!
If you buy "shika senbei," deer snacks, you will be surrounded by many deer. That's a little scary and funny and cute😆. It doesn't take much time to explore Nara Park, but there are many places to see inside the park and nearby, such as Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and Kofukuji Temple. Nara is close to Osaka and Kyoto, so it's recommended to plan a trip with multiple nights.

    🦌If you have a deer cracker, the deer will chase you. 🦌A deer headbutt hurts more than you think. haha 🦌If you behave like you don't have deer crackers, the deer won't chase you. It is a good idea to put the deer crackers in your bag as soon as you buy them. 🦌If you break the deer crackers and feed them little by little, you can enjoy the feeding time for a longer time☺️ 🦌Deer don't attack stores that sell deer crackers because they know the staff will get angry. 🦌Deer in Nara are wild so they may attack you! Children should be accompanied by adults. 🔻Japanese Animal Playlist kzread.info/head/PL8s0IirUameYhbAWLRMuhdX9EKUG1ht8F

    I love how they learned to bow so politely. Here in Europe they just jump you and eat all of the food you brought, the tell you to 'do one'. 😂

  • @ThunderOrb

    @ThunderOrb

    Bowing is a natural part of their behavior. Stags do it to signal they want to fight each other. That's why, like they said in the video, if they bow a lot and you don't give them a cracker, they will headbutt. They have modified an instinctual behavior to use in another way, but the original meaning still exists!

    @@ThunderOrb To be honest I was a bit shocked by this deer park. Looks like they cut down the antlers to nubs. I don't know if that would even be possible where I live (due to animal rights regulations). We do have deer feeding parks but they only have females and that's exactly why. To avoid accidents with visitors due to the antlers without cutting down the antlers. We have deer parks with stags but those are not feeding parks. They still always have their antlers and you are supposed to keep your distance from them. In general in deer parks (feeding or not) there's virtually no concrete, they're far away from busy streets and the parks are meant for the deer more than for humans. This was more of a human park than a deer park. I know Japan is not big on animal rights in general (owl cafes, declawing being legal) but damn. Could they at least get rid of all the concrete?

    It's so neat to see how deers and humans can peacefully co exist with each other with no problems, in Nara. I think it's cute how they bow to ask or demand for treats.

    They’re so cute! I’ve always had a fascination with deer (and other hoofed animals) since I was a kid and honestly, this seems like it’d be right up my ally. Aside from the head-butting, and them hoarding for treats, it could be really relaxing to interact with them in a non-zoo like setting.

    My late father used to rehab deer for the DNR, and three were permanent residents. He would let the children come in and feed the doe and the fallow buck.. When he discovered some of the daily visitors were eating the saltines themselves, he started providing free ice cream cones.

    This reminds me of a deer park in Wisconsin Dells. Like the deer here, they will likely ignore you if you don't have food, but will swarm you if they see you have food for them. Also had a similar idea for the deer crackers, except using Ry-Krisp (back when they were still around) rather than the custom made crackers.
