Good collection of videos Michael, god bless you...
How wonderful to come upon this which I had not seen before. I remember visiting you in Amsterdam but not what year it was and admiring your mothers art and your collection of cameras. But I don’t remember us realizing we both of been in Camrose at the same time I think these pictures are in the north front side and I was in the English-speaking Westside. So glad to see you here and hope you are fine I’m doing OK.
Your films are such a treasure!

I was here trying to find my own pictures I took back in the 60s of the fon of bafut Compound which apparently I hadn’t seen for five years and had answered an interesting inquiry back to the search
Is that a digital camera at 5:34?
Это как память на всю жизнь . Человек трудяга . Молодец .
I like this
Back then the earth was so much more pristine. The landscapes look completely natural and people seem much more closer to nature!

Bangladesh was total bs back then, no importance for creators like him.
I will say Mr Rouge you are quite ahead of your time.
👌
Unfortunately, Cameroon has not developed much beyond this 1964 video due to dysfunctional governments and a docile population not ready for change!

It is funny to see the English trying to coexist with people they considered their slaves, and unfortunately these people were very kind and received them warmly.

It tends to be the norm in unstable ecologies, known as the "R strategy", where sexual mating norm is to opt to produce as many offspring as possible in hope that some may survive, instead of the familiar "K strategy" more common in safer ecologies, like modern western countries.

Bloating of the stomach may also be a result of starvation/malnutrition, this could account for some of the enlarged bellies you saw

@@franciscor390 The r/K selection theory has mostly gone out of favour in recent years. It's more accurate to instead use a more refined example in the life-history paradigm.
It doesn't look like Cameroon which is much greener!

What would Africa look today if it had been totally untouched by outsiders?

More than likely the same, Unless they found a way to trade for new technology. This is not a knock on African’s (I’m black) but a major factor in the dominance of Europe was trade one of the strong points being when they got guns. With that being said I think it would be mostly the same with less conflict because tribal enemies trapped in the same nation.
Some Cameroon peoples speak Tamil language
They are without embarrassment black Europeans when they come to Africa and it disrupts village life even if now we see how life was before in African villages, I find it even indecent and that's not how you did it film in China and other countries.
Back then black women used to look like men.
