Even though Louis and I have recorded over 60 podcasts together, this was our first time meeting in person. I loved hosting him and hope we can have more adventures all over the world. Thanks for watching..

In the storage of the crts, he said it’s an iMac. That’s actually an eMac stated for the education market at the time. I had one. This was the last crt based Mac. Also I spotted a Mac color classic on the shelf that was very brief early in the video. Nice collection of crts. :)

Retro video gamers NEED those CRT monitors! So you don't get controller input lag like you do with modern flat panels. Not to mention the Zapper and other light guns won't work on modern flat panels.

First time I've seen rejuvenators in your videos (let me know if I missed any). What's your experience with those on Trinitrons? The general opinion I heard was also along the lines of "you can't rejuve a Trinitron" (without cooking the cathode, that is). I have a Müter BMR 95 and 2005 and according to the Info I got from ze Herr Müter Jr. himself, these models were specifically designed to handle the sensitive cathodes of the newer CRTs. That being said, I haven't tried them on a Triniton yet. I have a 32" flat Trinitron on its last legs I'm tempted to try it on, buuuuuut... I don't really feel like trashing it yet. 😟 Not surprisingly, rejuvenators are now sought after specialty items, and this is reflected in the price, esp. for the later models which don't fry your tubes outright. Speaking of which... how the hell can you rack up 200k hours on a tube?

Hey! I’m on the East Coast and through Reddit resources came across your channel. I noticed my CRT has a bit of a tilt, and a bit more overscan than I prefer. I wanted to know if that is safe to fix at home, and if not, what the cost of such services are. I’m not sure where best to reach you so I leave a comment. Have a good day!

Ive been wondering what the chances of switching on an old crt and having it shoot xrays at me might be. Is this a genuine concern? Are there ways to know when the voltage is out of spec and dangerous without testing?
