But is he growing the right trees for the environment Haiti used to grow ebony , Mohoghany, various nut trees and very climate specific trees When she paid back France with her deforestation we lost all our trees including the rubber tree Now I was in Haiti a few years ago the tree a lot of the ngo were growing were not trees you could build anything with .... So instead of giving Haiti bio diverse plants or seeds they gave Haiti dumb and weak stock of trees that had no real market or biodiversity Like elm tree vs an oak tree Or ebony, mohoghany , rubber tree vs birch tree So dude please go into this They western ngo’s wanted the Haitians to grow sickly palm trees that produced oil but not banana tree or cassava tree So please review this dude work I know a lot of heavy seeders and agriculture workers my family from mirabalis Talk to me

Haiti needs to join the Trillion Tree Initiative. Even though it’s NGO driven, it can create jobs and restore parts of the environment.

@@Shineynsparkles wrong. They can offer bad seeds but we don’t have to take it. We can use domestic seeds and still get the project financed. We have to learn how to engage the international community more to our benefit.

Amazing to see the incredibly hardworking people of Haiti are still clawing their way forward after Papa Doc's decades-long reign of terror. Nobody works harder than Haitians, hands down, and sometimes that ray of hope is the blessing that ignites the spirit of triumph and inspires countless others.

Joel is a great guy I had a chance to talk to him, I believe in that project.

I just found these Haiti ag sites on youtube. I lived in Verrettes for 23 years. toward the end I focused on fruit trees. We had over 25 tree varieties - black sapote, mamey, jackfruit, citrus, mesi ampil, jujube, mango Nam Doc Mai, Jamaican red banana (we found this growing in the hills by Veret),... I got run over in 2018 and came home to Michigan, USA. Madame mwen soti Veret. We grew the fruit trees and gave them away to farmers in the hills. We made our own compost with chicken manure, coffee grounds and eggshells from those selling breakfast in the streets. Tout moun Veret konay Blanc Tom (s se mwen mem). Sorry I did not find your channel sooner!
