Iraq Travel Vlog Episode 05 - Continuing my series which will document my trip to Iraq in March 2023. In this video we explore some key sites around the city of Kufa including Imam Ali's House, the Grand Mosque of Kufa, and others.
Iraq until recently has only been in the news due to wars being waged on its soil but I’ve travelled as part of a group to visit the historic and holy shrines located in this ancient land. I went with the excellent Toronto Ziyarat Group have been taking pilgrims from North America for many years. I would highly recommend them if you're looking to visit the holy sites in Iraq.
Kufa was the seat of Imam Ali’s rule and a major seminary for Islamic scholars. Its still a major city in Iraq with many pilgrims visiting the shrine of Imam Ali in nearby Najaf.
