About Lost in Space: The Robinson family was supposed to set off on a five-year mission to explore a distant planet, but an act of sabotage by the scheming Dr. Zachary Smith -- who managed to get himself trapped aboard the spaceship -- leaves them adrift in space for three years. The Robinsons, pilot Don West, Dr. Smith and their trusty robot move from planet to planet, always searching for a way to return to Earth.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST EPISODES OF SEASON 3 THE ROBINSONS MADE BACK TO EARTH BUT UNFORTUNATELY 😢😢😢 IT WAS 1947 VERY GOOD STORY IF ONLY THE WRITERS OF THE SHOW HAD CAME UP WITH EVEN BETTER STORIES AND NOT SILLY ONES.

Well, it could've been worse. They could have returned in their own timeline,(or another one very similar to it), but shortly after a nuclear war...😉

Great episode great acting by the cast especially the robot
One of my favorite episodes 50 years out of our time.
I’ll never forget when this first aired.
I remember it fondly as a boy. We lived in Michigan and I got excited that the Jupiter 2 landed in my home state!

John Robinson was the first one to realize they were over 50 years out of their time in 1947. Everyone in that past time referred to them as Voltones. This was indeed a great episode.

The best episode of the entire years it was on screen and simply better than the rest of the campy episodes that came afterwards.....Peace

Dr. Smith: Woe is me. Whatever shall I do? Professor? Major? You too? Alack and alas. Good heavens! What is this, a manta ray? A giant squid? Robot: Correction. I am a robot, as you will plainly see if you will remove your gas mask. Dr. Smith: It's all your fault, you computerized clod! What has happened to us? Where are we? Robot: Good questions, Dr. Smith. Referring to your first question, I have sufficient data to conclude that runaway acceleration past the speed of light has carried the Jupiter 2 into hyperdrive. Dr. Smith: Stop cackling and say what you mean! Robot: We are not where we were. Dr. Smith: I warn you, don't try my patience. Where are we. Robot: Both visual and electronic data indicate that electromagnetic radiation at runaway velocity has brought us to a space warp to that solar system containing the planet Earth. Dr. Smith: Earth? Did you say Earth? Where? Robot: In colloquial terms, at 12 o'clock low.
seeing this segment so many years later, who did their hair!

My favorite scene on this fabulous episode is when Maureen and the daughters investigated an abandoned room where old equipment is seen by way of flashlight. Williams music cue from “My Friend, Mr. Nobody” is heard to spooky effect (!)
yes that's what i thought that they should have said yes planet earth, but what dimension in time would it be.
