Faja dos Padres is just west of Funchal. A cable car down to it. You can swim and have lunch. They also have bungalows to let. Organic gardens on the seaside.

@6:25 - "Xiao is the epicenter of all the action it has the biggest murderous events..." I'm sure that's not what she 8intended to say, momentary loss in translation. I recently discovered that I have Portuguese ancestry and I'm looking for a city to visit and possibly relocate to. Funchal is a gorgeous city but I've also seen videos of other beautiful cities and areas in Portugal and it is difficult to decide. Any suggestions?

Hi Lisa! This was at O’Regional, but it isn’t the only good local restaurant in Funchal. There are plenty to choose from, especially on the Santa Maria street 😊
