East Shore is an outstanding example of how traditional American architectural styles are continuously being built within the past decade.. This neighborhood in The Woodlands is evidence that Southern styles such as Southern Colonial, Greek Revival, Southern Vernacular, but also outside styles like French Chateauesque and Spanish Revial are not merely bygone phases in the history of architecture, but are living and breathing styles that adapt to modern needs. In the face of post-modernism and globalization, East Shore has not only stood for the preservation, but the continuous utilization of traditional Southern and other American styles that emblematic of a given region. I stand for these principles, and East Shore can serve as role model for other towns and cities across the US.
