Right on Deputy Hanna. In order to being accepted in the Police academy. The candidate should be at least fit, smart, and be able to troubleshoot any physical or mental challenges that he or she will face during their training. I am now an old man but I sure envy your drive and total commitment towards your community. Thank you deputy Hanna for your sincere input.

I agree with the Deputy. Some of the best trainees I had came from Correction's. The CO trained Officers, knew how to watch suspects, talk with citizens, and react to quick changing situations!

True story. My niece worked at Riverside County CA in the lock-up detention. They were booking a morbidly obese female into the lockup and she had to search her. ALL of her. As she separated one of the fat folds on the suspect's body she found a whole sandwich tucked between the folds, without any cellophane, just the sandwich.

If you wanna have fun do a night shift ride in district 1 on Friday or Saturday night.

I worked the jail for 2.5 years. It was a great move. Great video

I am so proud of women being in law enforcement. It is a good thing.

Now this is ironic. I was just talking about Ride Alongs with my mom (Who is a medically retired LEO), and this video popped up in my recommended. You've satisfied my itch for a Ride Along for now. Even if we're two states apart. :) I've been on 22 Ride Alongs with my Sheriff's Office now, and hopefully will be able to set one up soon here as well with the same Deputy again. Sherrifs are the best. They are by the people for the people. Police (though not all bad), are by the state for the state. My interactions with sherrifs have been far more comfortable and personable, but seem to get dirty stares or feel very uncomfortable talking to regular police. Sherrifs should be the main public defense force, and the state guys should be the assistance and support roll, not the other way around.

She carries the leatherman raptors. Great tool for all first responders. Especially if trained in ems. I do security carried them in hospital security and still always carry them with me on or off duty.

That is a taser, there is new vests that makes it better and comfortable on your waist. cause it is very uncomfortable when you have all equipment while sitting down and driving.

Bring back Police Women of Maricopa County and Hanna could be one of the officers .
