Virology Lectures 2023 #17: Persistent infections

A persistent infection lasts the lifetime of the host, and humans have many of them. In this lecture we discuss the mechanisms and consequences of viral persistence, illustrated with examples of measles virus, polyomaviruses, hepatitis B and C viruses, and herpesviruses.

    Does HHV-6/HHV-7 show a possible mechanism to elongate temoleres?
