They are essentially the same sign, two sides of the same coin with libra, being the sign of accomplishment & perfection, sandwhiched between them. They are the two most tamasic signs, most astute & intuitive regarding both the internal & external worlds around them. They are also the two most feminine signs. Generally, the rising is a more intimate & truthful part of the person's makeup, whether its noticed or not, thus for example a scorpio rising/virgo sun tends to emphasise the more intense atributes of the scorpio sign, because the rising correlates to what we are & have, whereas the sun is what we aspire & strive to be have/be. Scorpio is the sign most correlated to "knowledge" & "power". Think of all the many people born under the scorpio sun month you might know, do their lives always equate to the power hungry, knowledge carrying, intense, psychologically transformative lives , generally attributed to scorpios? Not likely. This is because the sun & moon, as luminaries, are both more generalised to an individual, the rising is a specific point in time they come into manifestation. The first house, unless lit up by a luminary/planet, is generally our most intimate self, and our darkness. It is a dharma house/ house of truth/ true self, and thus, also our path in life, marking where we are coming from (our past), & where we stand (our present/this lifetime) and our general perceptions/viewpoints on all 12 areas of life (ie the houses). One of the biggest misconceptions in both modern & western astrology is the designation of the rising sign as masque like, a persona, or a style, and the sun as merely a "soul" like phenomenon. This is a highly misleading, oversimplication to anyone unacquianted to astrology, and is actually more the opposite case. The rising is the objective thing in the darkness that we truly are in this lifetime from birth to death. The sun is the ultimate light we are always striving and chasing toward being. The moon is a reflection of that light. Another misconception in modern astrology is that the rising tells us about self perception or self image, this again is inaccurate. It is the combination of the sun, moon and all the luminaries that reveal self image, for they deal with light, ie, what allows us to see. The rising exists outside of our self perceptions, which is why it deals with the physical body, which is manifested in the 2nd house. When the sun is in scorpio, the individual will be inspired/strive towards "being" the scorpio personality/character. You often hear the adage that people "grow into their sun signs" & there is often some truth in this, but it is never as wholly integrated as the rising because the rising dictates the position of everything else in the chart, such as the planetary houses, which are actually more important than the signs. The exception is when the sun is in aries (exalted) or conjunct the ascendent. Another little nugget ive noticed over the years, is that sun signs tend to be attracted to the same sign when it rises in someone else. I suppose this makes logical sense as the sun is on some level what they seek.

Virgo sun, Scorpio moon here. I definitely experience everything you spoke about. For me, this is a deep combination, so much so that I wish I could escape my own head sometimes. The narcissism point is spot on and something I grapple with but when I'm in that state of mind I get really angry mostly that people A. Don't see their own bullshit and B. Don't take responsibility for it. Then I think, if I can call out my own shit, why can't you? But some people can't and I haven't learned how to let that go.

I think your point about narcissism is pretty interesting. Personally, I think the combination of Scorpio and Virgo has made me pretty analytical in general. Sometimes, I'm almost too observant. I have always made sure to put the breaks on whenever I feel like I'm getting to lost in analysis of myself or others, or situations. I wouldn't say I'm a narc though, but I can't say I haven't asked myself the question.

i have definitely experienced what this man talks about. I used my wanting to better myself through self investigation and understanding as a crutch (i thought it made me better than others) to deal with my real life short comings, which were in abundance hahaha. I notice how much people like my vibe when i'm in a positive mindset but when i'm angry or drained no one has time to deal with me but not because they don't want to, its because they cant. i had no problem speaking and helping others with their problems but i never got it back which made me angry but it was simply because they didn't understand me so there was nothing they could do.

That’s probably because virgo/scorpio combination people have the power to heal themselves and the process happens so internally that it is impossible for others to figure. When they notice something the healing already happened.

Virgo Sun, Mercury in Virgo with Scorpio Rising, Scorpio Moon Pluto in Scorpio, Venus in Scorpio all three planets in the 1st house. Having come from a abusive childhood even though I have a therapist I find myself going beyond them and being my own therapist.

I'm virgo sun and mars with scorpio moon, rising, and venus. my sun and moon are both at 18°, making a very strong sextile. my rising and venus are both at 2° forming a very strong conjunction, with my venus on the 12h side. everything you said in this video sounded like you were describing me without ever having met me. i'm only 20 but i feel like i've lived multiple lifetimes as different people. my primary drive in life is deep self-knowledge and understanding of the universe. i've had several incredibly intense experiences in life (usually involving psychedelics), which have transformed me profoundly. i've been through periods of hypercritical self-hatred as well as times of narcissism, but have now settled into a healthy balance of self-esteem and humility. i love having this combination of signs so strongly in my chart. it's not easy but scorpio's affinity for intensity equips us to handle life at this level, and virgo's organisational capabilities enable us to thrive within it (only after we've made it through some storms). amazing video :)

Ahh I see, this explains so much, especially since my moon is in ♍ and I'm a ♓☀ Scorpio ascendant... It's definitely a very interesting and unique yet difficult placement growing up and now my awareness has very much increased so I've become more grounded with myself yet I do find myself being my own worst critic, what I do end up hating is how many people I encounter try to hide there insecurities and make you out to being someone your not with all there perceptions especially in there facial and energy expressions, other times they even get up close and personal telling there secrets or insecurities without even knowing it unless I bring awareness to it which as an emotionally stable ♍ mind(less often) I have a tendency to heal people from those negative things and thought patterns which I'm constantly working on for my own state of being on a regular basis, on that note there is definitely so much awareness within so many things if not developing, honestly nothing ever goes "Un-noticed" it's all in the 👀....loved your insight on the Scorpio rising experience thank you, and To all Namaste!😻✌💞👼♓

The accuracy is painful. I have a Virgo moon and Scorpio rising. I am in a constant state of self investigation and healing. Should have burnt myself out years ago and sometimes I get really close but it’s like I can’t help but dive deeper. It causes a lot of anxiety and pain tho, especially when I can’t figure things out or I’m stuck. Plus I have a Pisces sun and that just adds a whole other layer of emotionality and sensitivity.
