Virginia and Tennessee played in the opening round of the 2021 College World Series. This part of the CWS is double elimination. The winner would advance to play the winner of Mississippi State-Texas on Tuesday, while the loser would play the loser of that game in an elimination game.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Virginia needs to work on their helmets. Seemed like every player had their helmet falling off of their head on every other swing.

Virginia looks tough at the right moment. Defense was incredible.
Virginia has got a team full of Warriors. They may not be stacked on paper, but they are very balanced and fight like dogs. Mentally they are tough. Coming from a Miami fan

@@jordanroberts2465 meh. Not worried. The “other” pitchers powered them through the various elimination games in the regionals and supers. Don’t be surprised to see the same outcome, though tougher path. Really it’s 50/50 in my view. BUT we got Kenny Powers

Vols picked a horrible time to stink it up on the diamond. They looked horrible in the batters box all game. Chasing cutters,sliders and breaking balls swinging off balance. This team cannot hit those types of pitches.

I think that being on that big stage in Omaha got to the Tennessee players. They just didn't look loose, whereas the Virginia players were having fun and making plays.

UT won east SEC only because Vandy got rained out of 3rd game against Bama and then gave up five 9th inning 2 out 2 strike runs against UK in last game of season. Damndest thing I ever saw.

Pundits have to have things to talk about since they don't dare have empty air time. That's an oft observed but stupid broadcast rule. On the helmets though, it made Virginia's players look like kids in a little league game. That's embarrassing. Are their pretty boys more interested in showing off their hair (like Teal) or keeping their skulls intact?
Will there ever be a sport in Tennessee that we are good??? Not great or excellent, just good!!! Football sucks and will never recover, I thought our basketball team would be awesome and that definitely didn’t happen!! Here we are in baseball season, the VOLS won 50 games and we get beat BAD by Virginia!!! I’m thinking Tennessee wants to go home. Bye-bye!!!
