Don't forget they had WR Ali Jennings for the first game and expected exceptional passing options. This plus knowing the offense were strong reasons to have Grant Wells start.

Nice to see Va Tech taking strides to get back to being a strong team. Kelly did an outstanding job announcing the FSU Ga Tech basketball game.

The defense was a mixed bag for me. The stats were great in some areas but they played a lot of bad offenses. The linebacker play and rush defense was atrocious for most of the year. A true Mike linebacker could make a huge difference for next year

Yes the schedule looks good but you missed the point that the entire offense is returning. The offense ranked just below Alabama in 2023 and came on strong in the 2d half of the season. They will meet the winner of the FSU vs Clemson game in the ACC championship.

Trash take by Barber on the "luck". It wasn't luck that Pry targeted Drones as a transfer and landed him. You make your own "luck". I will say most of this other takes were much better than that one though.

I think what he meant was that after Wells got injured they "landed" on Drones as the next man up in the depth chart, not that Pry got lucky in landing him from the portal. The so called 'luck' was the injury to Wells that resulted in Drones taking control of the season. Considering, that in August they felt Wells gave them the best chance to win and thus, would Tech have had the same type of season if Wells hadn't gotten hurt and Drones never got his chance?? That's the "luck" that's discussed, at least how I interpreted it...
