This was one of the most memorable NCAA tournament stories in recent memories. I love Tony Bennett's leadership and how the team responded to win the title that year. The last 3 games especially were a storybook ending for this group. Go Hoos!

Even though I live in south east Virginia (ODU, William and Mary, Hampton, Norfolk State), I was rooting for UVA during the whole tourney, what an amazing run that we will probably never see again, the best tourney in decades, I'm sure someone is preparing a script for the movie, this will never get old even if they don't make it to the tourney or win it all this year, one shining moment 35 years in the making. What happened to Virginia that people never talk about vs UMBC was their best player (#4 pick in nba draft) De’Andre Hunter was injured and didn’t play at all, Kyle Guy the 2nd best player was also injured but played regardless, unfortunate wasn’t healthy enough to be a factor No I’m not making excuses, the upset still happened and we Virginia fans own it as it was a ‘ painful gift’ that took us to National Championships this year but those are 2 hugeee factors that don’t get mentioned enough, losing 2 best players in a 5v5 is indeed very significant

Elite 8: Clark and Diakite's miraculous plays to force OT with no time left Final Four: Guy's clutch six points in the final 15 seconds to come back and win. Finals: Hunter's clutch three to tie the game with 10 seconds left. It's remarkable to see everyone from Virginia coming up clutch when needed. This is a story that should never be forgotten.
