Well done with the tour. We’ve sailed the Scarlet Lady and really enjoy it! I recall the outside dock served tapas @ lunch. It was great. Didn’t find it till second to last night of cruise unfortunately. The design of the ship was the best. Reminded me of Disneyland. Every corner was well though out and different aesthetic. The food and fellow passenger was top notch . As well as the crew . Very friendly and a very good voyage - memories made - ✅😀.

Hey Shawn, thanks again for the positive feedback! I also really enjoy cruising on Virgin - their whole product is so unique and fresh! Re tapas, it’s actually one of my favourite offerings on these ships - the food’s so tasty back there! I also agree re your comments on ship design - I find it really easy to navigate the Virgin ships after the first few hours onboard!

This was a great tour, Fraser. I've went back and forth on levels of excitement for sailing with Virgin, but this video has elevated my enthusiasm for my 22 nights on board. Ive a few questions and thoughts. Does the galley offer healthy meal options given it's close proximity to the gym, where you can refuel while keeping on your dietary health plan. People (myself included) rave about Norwegian Prima/Viva's Indulge Food Hall, which on paper looks very similar to Virgin's The Galley. What is it about The Galley that doesn't draw similar praise? Strange that premium real icecream would be included, but a popsicle in the buffet would be extra charge. They would need to be really good popsicles! Does Virgin offer any solo meets?

Hey John! I’m really interested to try the new NCL product, as I’d love to compare. I find the Galley to be fairly limited in choice after the first couple of days - in theory it’s great, but I find it really repetitive… Re food, you’ll have no problems being healthy on this ship - their salad/health kick offerings are excellent across the ship! Solo meets - I did a video on my Virgin experience from Valiant Lady last year and was really unimpressed, but they’ve made some BIG changes. There was a solo meet up every day of my cruise - huge progress!! Thanks for watching, sir!

The ship looks well laid out, just think it will be too young for us oldies 😂

Plenty of older people onboard. My wife and I are in our mid-60s, and just love it. We see plenty of people older than us. Just bring a "young at heart" attitude.

This seems to be an older ship~ how many passengers does it hold? Does it primarily emark on a eurpoean ports of call?

Hey! This was the first cruise ship that Virgin launched, but she’s still really new - only launched a few years back. Her passenger capacity is just short of 3,000!

She was completed in February 2020, so she's a very new ship. Capacity is 2770 passengers and 1160 crew.

Thanks for the tour but it's definitely not for me. Because of the strange decor I would feel like I'm in the middle of a cartoon! I've heard the food is good, though.

Yeah, I’ve heard this from quite a few people, so you’re not alone there! I do find the food onboard Virgin to be to a very high standard actually - much higher than I’ve seen from other cruise lines. Hopefully my vlogs from this trip will help you see life onboard - watch this space!

Practically everything about a voyage on a Virgin ship is different from traditional cruise lines, including decor and food. I tell people if their tastes in food, decor, music, entertainment and culture stopped evolving prior to the year 2000, then yeah, it might not be for them.
