Ah, brings back memories of my trip to Florida from Glasgow. June 10, 1994. Monarch Airlines 757. Cold, wet, morning. We stopped off at Bangor in Maine to do the Passport entry, etc, then onward to Orlando. Great times.

always amazed me how something so big can seemingly defy gravity......... been on a right few flights including 747s, 777s, 737s and 727s............ got one booked for a 787 think thats the dreamliner, seen one close up and they are fekkin huge. by the way, when was the last time anyone seen that, glasgow airport and it wasnt pissin it down?????

Yeah it's a relatively short runway for a B747, gota get to v1 quicker than normal, it's impressive to see :)

Ha ha. Saw the van with the luggage trailers running alongside the plane. Was thinking the driver was shooting. ‘Stop, you’ve left the cases behind!’

If I had to choose between them I would go Thomas Cook, Virgin allow everyone to put their seats all the way back and squash you for some reason. Where to go depends on what you want. If you want roller coasters and beaches and don't mind traveling around then Florida is best. On the other hand Vegas is great because everything's in the one place and you can easily get around, the gun range and super car driving were the highlights for me (i'm not into gambling).
