Virgil Abloh - "STARTING YOUR OWN BRAND"
REST IN POWER VIRGIL
Virgil's impact on changing how T-shirts could be a luxury item and even his vision and creativity were really why he was so influential in the Fashion Industry.
This was taken from 2 interviews and the tips he gave on how "LESS IS MORE" impacted me. I tend to have a bunch of ideas and creative processes all the time and him saying that gave me something to reflect on and get better at my creative side.

Imagine he listened to what someone else thought he could be, how much more time he would have wasted, until his passing of a very young age
That guy should start a new brand called "mhhm" I think it'd be dope.

inspired me to start smth too, think everyone realised he was a the goat only after his death
I understand what he means by the switch in your head. I've been stumbling around in the dark looking for that switch for years. Finally found it. As a designer myself, everything finally just clicked. I was working on a concept one day and had a solid idea/representation for it. Then I realized there was another deeper concept within it and it was a whole other brand of its own. And then again, and again. And out of working on just one concept I've developed 5 solid brands. Feel's amazing.
Virgil was and still is such an inspiration! I’m so sad that I just discovered him and his work after he passed😔 I want to be a future designer and would have loved to meet him. Long Live Virgil ❤️❤️❤️

I missed him. I used to listen to his interview and conference while he spoke about art and design. He was not like any rapper/ hiphop/ stylist who had some fame then try to put a label on things and sell. He actually had an art vision and it was a genius one. He communicates art like a tech or an scientist talks about engineering, concise, clear and make senses.
miss this guy.. a legend!! he said it and did it..
1:16-- it really is and he is proof of this, but look how much he accomplished in his relatively short life span! Inspiring...

Start your concept whenever you can - this is a big takeaway I got from Virgil's talk. Thank you Virgil!
i miss him. he was so innovative yet too humble minded
Yes perspective is key, I often sit and not only think of the box in the box outside the box but all the angles and of the box itself. And my phrase is: be cool be true be you. Anything and everything is possible through the imagination inspiration creativity. Another one of my catch phrase is: if you can conceive it you can achieve it. Great job Virgil and by the way I like the name LOL
The “ the life is so short” part hit different…😢 thank you Virgil
Un visionario… que pena que nos dejara tan pronto
I remember a few years back when he had a karge number of shoe releases and people of the sneaker community were confused. It made sense after the announcement of his illness. RIP Virgil your designs are here forever.

@@yugopriest1406Virgil was the 1 who tells those girls what to do… he visualizes the whole “big picture” of the brand and delegates roles to the technical designers. This explains why his title at LV was “Creative Director.” not “fashion designer.” To be clear Virgil had the technical design skill… probably more then most fashion grads (he has a masters degree in architecture.) It’s very necessary in this industry to possess that skill… so you can COMMUNICATE it to your team. I wrote this to clear up all of your uneducated claims. I will not be returning to reply to anyone.
