So in this innings, Kohli chose to score all the runs by boundaries only. Difficult to digest that in another innings of the same series, he scored 160* out of which 100 came from running between the wicket. Amazing stuff.

Let me tell you why? South Africa scored only 204 and to defend this very low score, they chose to keep extremely attacking fields like not keeping deep cover point fielder of fast bowlers for a long time even after 10th over, not keeping even basic 3rd man fielder initially and instead going with 2 slips and a gully and keeping mid off fielder instead of long off when spinner Imran Tahir was bowling so Virat made full use of those attacking fields as he was already in great form in that series.

Virat Kohli is the greatest ODI batsman and greatest match winner ever in white ball cricket. Nobody is not even 50% of him when it comes to chasing.

Virat Kohli was so good in picking the lengths early in 2016,17 and 18. The way he used to dominate the bowlers in those years was something special. Slog sweeps, on drives and classic pulls.

It was a second-string SA team most of the main players in that series were injured Faf was injured, De Kock was injured, Dale Steyn was injured, and even ABD was injured but he returned for the last odis, and most of the SA players like Klaasen, Ngidi, Junior Dala made their debut in this series

When it comes to white ball cricket Virat Kohli is beast no one is near to him for sure and he dominated the modern era of cricket so he is "THE KING OF CRICKET" .

They compare him with yuvraj singh, gambhir and sehwag, he was the highest run scorer in test series and in odis from both the teams, any other indian cricketer had done such things would have been a highlight in their career but such is his consistency we dont even talk about this series.

Back then Kohli was much better puller of the short ball as he is now due to his upright stance but He never loosed his class still the best cricketer in the world.
