​@@harishram6677Nobody was asking him to be dropped from any format till 2014 England tour.He had already become a superstar in Odi cricket by 2013 and had started to perform consistently in test cricket as well from 2012 and obviously there were very few t20is played in that era but he was so consistent in that format too but after England tour 2014, people were asking for him to be dropped from test team which was quite understandable because of how badly he failed on that tour.

Bowlers like Mitchell Starc would have been way more threatening and most other bowlers would have improved. Batting would have been slightly tough than it is now. But that 2 ball rule made it easier for today's batsmen and Kohli is no exception.

Virat Kohli was able to cement his place in team very early in his career not because he had capability, not because he was playing in great manner, but because Lord Dhoni thought let's do the favor to this poor kid and keep him in the team. Also these days Dhoni is doing some black magics to help Kohli make centuries in the ongoing CWC23. Indeed, Dhoni is the greatest ever!!
