    This is a great example of life. Someone can have a vast amount of talent, spend immeasurable time working but it doesn’t mean those around you will appreciate or Respect it and if not careful one can be distracted and pulled away from their gift surrounding themselves with people not invested in that growth

    Kids don't understand when they are seeing something special that they might not see again. I didn't. Now in my 60s, I look back and wish I could have paid more attention to some wonderful things that I took for granted.

    I've loved Sam Cooke since I was a child in the 60s. Still listen to him everyday. He would have loved this rendition from this talented young man.     He does not have an old soul... He does not know the change in which Mr. Cooke was speaking. Anyone can act out their part but very few can actually see what there are really doing. He can sing but he does not know that song!

    Yeah, it IS a shame that, seemingly, the majority of the younger generation doesn't understand the real meaning of this song. Personally, for me, growing up, this particular song has always, and I mean ALWAYS, got me in my feelings. Wonderful cover, and, again, for me--still the same meaning. Nothing but love, here.

    One of my greatest joys in life is people singing live but I didn't FEEL him either, Jaz. Once you put his age aside, there is NOTHING special about his voice. So many of his runs are off and forced. He will get better with time, I'm sure.

    Sooo I’m 72 and I just want to mention that during my lifetime there have been a whole lot of changes, most for the better.     This is one of my very most favorite songs. It was played at a lads funeral, a great young black lad I grew up with. His da played songs like this all the time. It took me some years to realize how much meaning it really has. Brings tears to my eyes every time as I think of my brother. This lad did a wonderful cover. Nothing but respect. God bless 🙏
