In this tutorial I take a stab at the viral burn away cake and make it in my style, with gold of course! I show you how to add gold to buttercream even if you don't have an airbrush:) This one is special to me because my sons sweet girlfriend sketched the image of the two of them. They are so cute!!

I haven't used it on anything else yet. I like to use my airbrush on flatter surfaces because it has a finer spray. I like Truly Mad Plastics the best;)
I can put wafer paper in fridge and it will still burn even its overnight?
With what can I remplace the alcohol please?
Is your luster dust edible?? What brand do you use??😮

Hi Mary...could you please link the bottle you used? I tried with a regular spray pump and it kept clogging to the point where I can't even unclog it anymore. Thank you. Your cake is absolutely stunning!!!

I am not sure where I got it because I have had it for a while. I would suggest making the gold a little thinner. Sometimes, if it is too thick, it can tend to clog a lot. Some clogging is to be expected, but not that much;)

Thanks Mary...will try adding more of the vodka. Have you seen those pumps that spray the dry dust? I imagine you'd brush shortening onto the cake to have the dry dust stick? @@sophisticakesbymary

I use Everclear most of the time, but I assume you are wanting to avoid alcohol? You can use lemon extract and maybe rejuvenating spirits. We don't have that in America, but I hear it is great!
