You two are the best teachers ever. I can't find anyone who give me the answers that I'm looking for except for you two. Thank you very much for all your work
Today's in india festival of colours holi . All ashtanga viewers to Happy holi .l have practiced veer bhadrasana .
Yes absolutely I like both of you...the way you teach is one of its kind.Yes,I subscribed.❤
So helpful! I didn't realize the different traditions had different cues. Also, love the Connie stretch when Jelena finishes her demo :)
You guys are the best. This is so helpful and good. Appreciated
I've always found this pose very challenging because teachers always said to square the hip, which didn't work very well for my body when the foot was flat. I've always rotated the thigh and knee to lign up with the foot, so this resonate so much! Thank you for explaining!
I love this episode! First the special appear of the fury child! And the most important thing I heard "respect each tradition"! I love hearing this from the Ashtanga people! Thank you very much!
These tutorials are so detailed and so helpful !! Digestible alignment cues are not easy to come by but the two of you do a great job of it. Thank you! 🌹
Thank you so much so happy I landed on this video that answered so many questions I had not understanding how to make warrior 1 work and feel right in my body and now I get that I was taking cues from different books and different teachers and everything you explained on variations and each tradition makes so much sense . Thanks again ❤
Super helpful - I watched this because I was trying to "square the hips forward" and sure enough my knee felt a little torqued. Thanks for the clarity! Good job Kani. Progressions/regressions for postures, especially in the second half of the primary series, are always appreciated! That way we can ensure the work is going in the right direction.
Thank you so much- Amazingly helpful! I have knock-knees and turning my whole leg outward by not aligning my hip has helped me get in to a virabhadrasna A unlike anything I’ve ever experienced… for the first time I feel so stable and powerful here! Love all of your videos-Thanks!
Love these tutorials! Question: I'm getting a lot of foot pain when I do warrior sequences especially if they are followed by wide legged forward folds. It wraps around the foot and sometimes into the shins, I've been practising for many years and I'm finding it is limiting development of my practice. Any tips?
I didn’t know that alignment is different from other schools, thank you 🙏🏼 I usually ask people to close the back foot after step forward so they feel more safe in the knee. But in was nice to know more about it
Thank you- I love your videos. May I request you to cover Sarvangasana and Halasana please?
Muchísimas gracias!
Yelena looked shocked when David said he didn't know if they do Warrior poses in Yin yoga😅
Dear David and Jelena thank you very much for this new video. I was waiting for this pose. You are so exhaustive in all your explanations, l appreciate you every time. GOD BLESS YOU. Cecilia. GOD BLESS ALSO YOUR LITTLE AND WONDERFUL DOG CONNIE.
thank you so much for allllll the videos!!!! I love it
4:13 is when they actually begin 😮💨
You two are absolutely amazing - genuine, fun and so knowledgeable. I learn so much from your tutorials and hope to join you one day at your studio in TO. Thank you SO much!!!
I LOVE you guys, appreciate the breakdown of poses very much. Please do Head stand Sirsana break down and how to 🙏
Super helpful!
Great tutorial and channel 😊
EXTREMELY helpful, as always🌹 Thank you so much 🙏🏻
Thank you so much! So cute the little dog taking presence in this video. Directly from Brazil ❤
Great video! - As always - Thank you for explaining about the different schools of yoga. I love being aware of the right cues and alignments, and like you say respecting the traditions. 🙏❤️
Your videos are a blessing ! Thanks for sharing ! 🙏
Thank you!!!!
Thanks, made it through the video
great stuff, super detailed.
Very well explained. Thank you. 😊
Thank you!! Y’all are adorable and I appreciate your teachings.
wow! bravo! first time that I hear (other than myself) a yoga teacher saying that it's totally safe to bring the knee over the toes! thank you!
absolutely wonderful channel!! I would like more pointers on adjusting poses when, like me, a student needs to work on their Hump on back/base of neck. Also, how to work through other types of Yoga, (Yin in my case), to work up to Ashtanga; it's the apex of strength, flexibility, and extremely challenging. One needs to know how to work up to it. Namaste
You guys are fabulous. ❤
Thanks for the great videos!
Yes, we like you :) You are great :)
Thank You! ❤❤
Very interesting, thank you. I didn't know there were different ways of positioning the feet, according to the teachings. I will be trying not to torque my knees now. Many thanks 🙏
Love your teachings❤
Off course we like you! Thanks for the tips! Keep sharing 🙂
I truly do enjoy your tutorials, thank you ❤
Fantástico! Ustedes son increíbles!
Great tutorial! Please keep posting videos on fundamental poses like this.
Sending love from the Philippines! ❤❤❤
I like you guys a lot 😀🌺
Thank you 🤍
Useful and very lovely video❤ mr Khany is soo peaceful))
Just started doing Yoga, love your content, helps me greatly with my alignments :)
I respect and esteem you both, and the same goes for the Ashtanga tradition! 🤓😉🤍🤍
Thank you
This tutorial saved my knees, thank you so much! I spent so many years trying to align my hips in Warrior A, and my poor back knee implored pity.... I hated Warrior I ! Thanks to you both now is one of my favorites asanas, and I feel a wonderful sensation of lengthening on the side with the straight leg, from the edge of the foot to my fingertips. Thank you so much! ❤
Thanks.
Great tutorial, as always! A teacher told me that the spine should not be in extension in Virabhadrasana A, but it never quite felt right; it also seems that there is a slight back bend in your demo. Any thoughts on this? Thank you for your very informative videos!
This is great thank you. I will be more mindful when I practise. Are you able to do a video on bhujapidasana? Thank you soo much ❤🙏🏻
Happy to find your channel! Since am not really flexible would be cool also to see what kind of stretches we have to do, for example, to get into correct positions. For example, downward dog, if the back is rounded not only how to start in the position straight away, but what stretches for the hips, shoulders and so on we need to do to make it easier to make it right after a while. If in a "toe breaking" position I have a pain in my ankle, what are the exercises before to stretch those ankles. And so about different positions. Thanks ❤❤❤
ashtanga version of virabhadra is the one my body agrees with and i avoid the teachers that force me to square the hips. the hips are not wide open, true but not square either. i hear that only people with actualy hip displasia can do it without torquing the knee... but hip displasia is not the norm nor what we want.
yes, I love you both beautiful couple. Loads of thanks for all great videos 🥰🙏💖 2:47
Hips level or not was always my question tnx a lot very useful
When are you going to beginnn ??
Thank you. I go to a private teacher, but it is hard to cover everything as there is so much to Ashtanga yoga. I learn much from these videos. Can you talk, in your experience, when is it reasonable to move to 2nd series. Do I need to get my leg behind my head before I can move on? What are the other requirements? How many years of practice is required before moving on?
Jelena! Where do you get your yoga clothes?
I don't like you but I just love you guys 😉
Hi, I'm not sure if I missed this, but I'm never sure how my feet should be aligned in relation to one another, in these positions. For instance, imagine I were holding these positions with a line running straight down through my mat. Are my feet both on the line or are they off-centered from the line, and if so, how much? Thanks!
I’ve heard it, now I can’t remember where I heard it as, sāt downward facing, step right leg, then sapta arms up, does that hold up? Or am I overthinking?
I recently went to a hot yoga studio with a unlimited pass and was really surprised how they didnt bother to mention any tips to accomodate the heat like water consumption. Plus, you cant cool off because heat is blowing on you. Bad experience.
I don't like you guys. I love you guys. love your helpful tutorials, and I learn so much. Wish I had discovered you before all my injures (caused by yoga!)
Weight distribution of body on foot or back
Oh 90 deg ...hip turned out..... That's unusual...we have been thought the turned in version hips facing forward
3:15 are you going to tell us?
❤
you're adorable XXX
I have been practicing yoga for 15 years. I still have yet to understand the differences in the different types of Yogas. Can you guys please do a video about the different types of yoga and their histories. Maybe just something short 🙏🏻 I get different answers every time I try to Google it 😕
