I dislocated my shoulder about 12 years ago & until now, thought I had completely rehabilitated it! Your left hand preparation technique has just shown me how wrong I was... But fear not! I shall persevere for the next week or month or however long it takes to be able to do what you teach before moving onto the next lesson. Your lessons are very thorough (especially when compared to some on KZread) & well thought out. You don't rush & I won't either... See you in lesson 6. And thanks again for all you do!

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:27 🎻 Adjust violin placement: Hoist the violin higher on your shoulder, angled at 45°, slightly above horizontal. E string lower than G string. 02:19 🎶 Practice bowing technique: Master long bows, half bows on G, D, A, and E strings. Use a marker for bow middle. Focus on complete strokes for bowing precision. 04:42 🎯 Refine bow technique: Perfect bowing before transitioning to left-hand finger placement. Ensure full bow strokes, especially on up bows. 07:04 🎻 Strengthen left hand: Stretch fingers by placing thumb in corner, swing elbow, and pluck strings with each finger. Prepares for left-hand work in the next lesson. Made with HARPA AI
