i have a gliga 3 and my teacher really likes the sound- one day i hope to look at the 1 if i improve enough to justify it (^-^)

I don't have one at the moment, but I'd be happy to get one in to do a vid. They charge a little more for the 1 piece back.

do you know what it is that gives the gligas their mellow quality? is it the varnish or the way they are set up at the factory?

I think the varnish and the type of wood and the thickness of the wood all combine to make that sound. We set them up differently to the way they come out of the factory, but they still sound mellow :)
