I can't help but point out the similarity to "Juicy Fruit" by Mtume. The odd thing is that I was a DJ here in NYC when this song came out & I didn't hear of it until about 3 1/2 years ago. I discovered this song while my mother was sick & it drew me in. Instead of reminiscing about the 80s, I reminisce about this song because I discovered it around the time that I was running back & forth to see her at the hospital, with her passing on June 30th of that year. I always associated her with EuroDisco or Hi Energy music, which isn't my thing, but, this is a beautiful song & I'm glad to have discovered it, albeit 30 years after the fact.

Hey Thank you Will, I remember Paul Phillips going into the studio, Re-recording this with Viola in London would believe. The Piano at the beginning of the song was originally in the middle of the song, a little play along riff by Tee Morris, then Paul done his magic started the track with the piano, nice build up by Hi Tension Percussionists Leroy Williams, and Linn Drum Programming by Lloyd Phillips. Paul said it was a production for streetwave records but because of contractual reason he was only credited with a remix. We give credit to Paul as one of the Uk Best unknown Producers at the time

One of my favourite tunes from the 80s. This Was Played in all the club's in Manchester And Always Had The Dance Floor Filled. Tune Then Tune Now And I'd Rather My Old Skool Than The Stuff Around Today. And All my kids know alot Of 80s Tunes As That's What Was Played In My House.

Takes me back to the south london days of wicked parties and people x thanks
Still fresh after all this time. Bless you, Viola, for your gorj lyrics, sweet piano playing and a heavenly voice. Forever missed.
Massive tune in 1985, which brings back great memories. I owned the same 12" single and wish I'd kept it. Thanks for uploading this premium quality groove.
Im 25 & this my tune right here.

@@markharriot6850 Out of curiosity; When and where did you hear it at the clubs? I so envy who actually experienced this one at a real club with a real dance floor, with real people.
A superb remix by Paul Phillips... Awesome!

We give credit to Paul as one of the Uk Best unknown Producers at the time
Don`t know if i`ve commented b4 but this is an ABSOLUTE CLASSC and for bringing it back to me I THANK YOU.............Peace
big tune from back in day, massive groove weapon, back in the eightys
Big old skool tune
Legendary tune, floats along so smoothly. Unbeatable.
Rest in eternal peace baby girl
what a absolute tune i have this on a white voice of an angel respect for the upload regards cortinaelmo
Wicked wicked tuneeeeeee
One of the best singles ever - a real late 80's soulful sound. This was the mix released in the UK on 7" and 12". Trouble now - if on the rare occasion a radio station would play it - you'd get the album version as they'd play it off CD.
Good old-style soul music. Current songs don't have long instrumental versions anymore!
Classic groove 6.00 am sun rising cup of tea had too much to dream viola wills u b mine xxx
oh mate i remember that club,,and yes guys and girls grooving thats a rare thing these days ,,,
I used to dj on pirate radio back in the day, (Simon T) and this was massive , TUNE!
