Davis - who stars in How to Get Away With Murder and won an Oscar this year for her role in Fences, based on August Wilson's play of the same name - shared a story of when she traveled to Gambia when she was studying at Juilliard. Davis said she was on a compound of the Mandinka tribe when women called " Kenyala," who were infertile, performed a ritual where hundreds of people would gather and scream and sing.

Viola Davis, such a beautiful, poised actress who acts her roles with strength, acts her roles with an empowering feeling. Not only does she act her roles so well, she empowers society with speeches that speak not only truth, but speak experience, experience that's both struggles and good times. Viola Davis is such an inspiring actress, a strong woman who sets a great example in showing strength for what she sees is right.
I thought God sounded like Morgan Freeman, now I'm not so sure about that...
