Agree. Black looks better than chrome

After seeing this, I'm see a two day project in my future. Two hours always turn into a lot more for me. Haha. Informative videos from the grille removal down to the wrap....! Looks great! Thanks bro.

@@YuriyMotso I've got a white 19 Sport. I have no idea why they didn't black out that piece too. That's the only chrome other than the Honda badges. My vinyl is on the way. Hopefully it looks as good as yours. Take care.

I just bought the same color Ridgeline RTL-T and plan to do both the grille and trim like you did. Thank you for the videos and information. I also want to add a bed rail rack and roof rack to the existing studs in the roof and existing bolt holes in the bed rails.

The aluminum ladder rack from Vantech is pretty nice. I use it to haul 10ft paddle boards. And it is much easier to install than vinyl wrapping your grille.

Thanks for the feed back. If you notice at the top of the video as you watch in the first 10 seconds a bar opens up that says how to remove grille. You can click on that and it will take you to my other video that shows how to remove the grille. I figured that not everyone wants to wrap their grill someone may just want to replace it or paint it. That was my thinking and why I made two videos.

Honda should replace the grille using the Pilot Passport grille . Until then vinyl wrapping the grille as what you did looks a hell of a lot better . Nice job

How’s it holding up ? Have you thought about a more permanent black out like powder coating ?

I originally wanted to but seeing that the front of the vehicle gets the most abuse from rock chips I decided to go with vinyl wrap as I “think” it will be more reliable long term. Plastidip for sure would be a lot easier however I think the overall finish on the vinyl looks more aesthetically pleasing. But this is personal preference. It’s a fun to do as well. Lots of skill learned throughout the project so for that alone I think it’s worth it. 😂

Very easy. However you are going to think you're breaking it because the clips are very strong.

@@YuriyMotso looking forward to it. P. S are you in Canada/ontario? You can get the vivid black gloss 6ftx 5ft for 52 bucks on Amazon. I actually ordered a vinyl 5ft piece a while back not realizing the front grill trim is 6ft.

@@gregorz46 Im in the US. Washington state. When I was buying on Amazon, I was looking up and buying 3M. I wanted as best quality as I could without breaking the bank. However I was shipped vvivid instead. When comparing costs I was looking at 3m products and not vvivid or other lower quality brand prices. So a piece of 3M at 6x5 cost $120. That is what I was referring too. So I guess a little misleading but I was talking about a premium product. That is good that you can buy vvivid for $52 though. Had I known I was getting vvivid I would have bought that in stead.

@@YuriyMotso I only mentioned it if you every decide to make the vinyl grille piece a full piece. Your work looks nice, and I'm sure no one will never notice the cut line. it would just bug me is all, which is why I didn't end up going your route. Anyway, nice quality vid and lots of good tips. Looking forward to the door trim video.

Nice job. I did notice that you placed what looks like a K&N Air Filter on the truck. What do you think of it and did you notice any performance increase. Did it take it over the 300 HP threshold?

Thanks. I did put an AEM intake. I have a few KZread videos of dyno results if you are interested. Not enough to go over 300hp.

I've seen a guy use matte black spray paint, probably much easier and faster.

I was recommended that after I made the video. I have used plastic dip in the past however I kind of think this will be more resilient long term. Not sure though. I have some for the badges though ill do soon.
