Guys. I was just at a vinyl auction yesterday (20,000+ lps) and they couldn't sell some boxes of 50 for $1. Now rather than throwing it away, recycling it in this way makes sense. They aren't all Dylan, Zappa, Beatles...

I am trying to find out how to cut a record shaped into animals or something else. Do you know how I can do that I have seen them in all kinds of shapes to make pendants with I've seen heart shape

First off for all of you that like this it would be reuse not recycle. Second for all the music lovers that are arguing the point about destroying music why doesn't anyone argue for 8tracks and cassettes they were a big part of music history also.

I can't believe she suggested using coloured vinyl for this... Surely if you have enough coloured LPs to make a multicoloured bracelet, you'd be better off selling them to a collector and buying as many bracelets as you could want with the profit!

i'm suprised at how many people think recycling crappy old records you never listen to and don't like is DESTROYING MUSIC! seriously?...wow i think these could be really cool but she doesn't show all the ways you can embelish them

don't put vinyl in the oven on 200 or over as the vinyl will release toxic fumes it doesn't have to be overly hot for the record to start to warp.

you guys act as if every piece of music ever put on vinyl is good. There is bad music and good music last I checked. Just for the record I am a vinyl lover with stacks of records in my house that I would never make into jewelry. The record I used in the video is something no one would ever want to listen to I'm sure.

Haha, relax peoples, what do you think happened to the 100's of thousands of Christmas albums that got sold. Do you know how many crummy records Goodwill has to throw away because no one wants them? It's great to make something with them.

The problem is, for every person who only uses scratched records, there are probably 4 who want to use one by a popular artist just because. So really, it's a catch-22. Neat idea in the right hands, bad idea in the wrong hands. And there's probably more wrong than right.
