Idk, I've had the old school laminate in my kitchen for over 15 years and it's just now starting to show some wear... I think buying quality flooring is what makes the difference

You can increase water resistance in laminate if you seal the edges before installing.

Actually, I can tell by what your installing that I have the same vinyl. I have one teen & one dog & the floor is destroyed in under 3 years and this is from normal wear & from cleaning with a steam mop. Not sure how vinyl swells but mine did in the seams, I would never get it again unless I got a 20Mil wear later or above. The click lock mechanism is terrible unless you’re getting top of the line.

Not always true! They have laminate waterproof flooring as well!

There’s a way quicker way to do the end piece, you doing a little too much by measuring it out

You put the piece against the wall and cut the excess you don’t need; and make sure it’s the right side

Brother, you don’t know what you’re talking about. There’s been a lot more issues with vinyl than laminate.
