If you've ever cut vinyl wrong and then went back and cut the same vinyl correctly, you probably noticed little cracks after heat pressing where the vinyl was cut and not weeded. You can use that to your advantage and combine it with the technique you demonstrated here. It makes weeding more difficult so you'd only want to use it for one-off special projects, but it will add a nice detail to the overall effect.

I’m pretty much new to all this but if you make a mistake on most software like Photoshop or whatever if you want to go back to the way it was all you need to do is Ctrl and Z to go back and you can keep pressing it and Ctrl Y forward if you went to far. Just some shortcuts hope this tip helps y’all and whoever else.

You can use a pressing pillow for this. Or a board wrapped in a Teflon sheet.

I noticed there was a step that was missed after you placed the cracked svg over the lettering on silhouette. What was that option you clicked, it was at the moment you thought the connection was lost.

She put the distressed image over the letters, selected the two, and the clicked subtract all :)

We unfortunately don't have any that fade like what you are wanting. Screen printing might be what you will need to use.

I bought a roll of the reflective from you all and it comes off when washed. Pressed at 315 for 20 secs. Should I change my setting? We have to have reflective lettering on our fire department tees for night time calls. Screen printer company’s around us charge an arm and a leg for reflective and it really doesn’t work. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated 🙏🏼
