The Lovin' Spoonful is a famous band from the 1960s. Sonny and Cher (pronounced "sunny") were a husband and wife duo that became famous when they had their own TV show in the 60s. Their most famous song together is "I've got you babe". After the TV show (I think), Cher divorced Sonny and went on to a solo career. Probably her most famous song is "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves", but she has had some successful albums up through today. Kind of like Madonna, she just keeps on going.

Sorry, I was not clear. Cher was not part of The Lovin' Spoonful, just Sonny and Cher. Different groups. :)

Haha - no, when you mentioned "a part of it" I thought you were talking about The Lovin' Spoonful. Yes, Cher is the Cher from the 60s up through today. Her latest release is from 2013 - Closer to the Truth. That one even came out on vinyl.
