Runs Nice Mate. I got that 3hp apart yesterday and cleaned all the Sump out wont take much too get it going The Lister Cs are a brilliant Engine its good that people like us restore and Preserve rather than Scrap

These engines are mechanical art. Not like the massed produced junk today. All people care about anymore with engines is "How much horsepower does it have"? People don't appreciate a simple, low stress design like this anymore built to run for a century.

i already have a alternator connected with this same model...bt voltage is not accurate due to low rpm

@@bittusharma6852 why not have a belt on the flywheel to a smaller wheel so you can increase the rpm on the side of the alternator ? it says 650 rpm. so a wheel that is 1/4 of the size would make the alternator do 2500 rpm, which is enough for the alternator to work better.

You did a great job! Engine clean and working! I have a Cs lister I am finishing to replenish. I noticed that the oil pump is not going: pressing on with screwdrivers goes but turning the flywheels. No. Is it the spring to change what you say?

It could be spring, or it could be the tappet end is worn or the cam end that drives it is worn. Does the rod that drives the pump move up and down freely?

Thanks for the advice! I solved changing the spring with a longer one! Now the oil pump works !!
