    It’s funny I haven’t used one in forever but put a new handle on a spade the other day and it was perfect for shaping that. Thought the spokeshave could with a bit of TLC, and here I am😁

    nice find. i whish there were carboots like that around here. first thing on old rusty metal: penetrating oil like wd40 and let it sit for a while. don’t destroy screw heads or risk breaking things. stanley also used to “japan” things. it’s not painted. it’s basically burnt in asphalt. so paint remover should be pointless. look up “japaning” - there are recipes how to do it.
