Vintage spring divider restoration

With the heatwave here in my country I have decided to take on a few smaller items. That way I can still make videos and not die. I am spending the mornings in the studio before it gets too warm. I hope you found this one interesting as I had fun doing it.

    @@AJRestoration They're actually in great condition and I use them from time to time. Was surprised to see them. :) made me think of my dad :)

    And also do you need to harden and sharpen the ends of this tool for it to be effective?

    Its already hardened. If I heat the tips Ill just destroy the factory hardening.

    I think you could have filed the main arms and then with some 600 grit paper before dipping into the solution. It would have turned out better . SORRY
