In this video, you will see a vintage shelf makeover. I found a cute shelf unit at an antique store that I knew would be perfect in my guest bathroom. The shelves were scuffed up and the wood was stained too dark, so I demonstrate how you can take something like this and completely change the look.
I used chalk paint and sand paper to give these shelves a simple makeover that anyone can do, even if you have no experience in chalk paint. I took a light grey Rust-oleum paint and painted 2 coats over a dark brown stain. After it was completely repainted, I used some sand paper to give it details to make it look worn, in the best possible way!
Then, I used a topcoat of wax to seal the paint and give it an even finish. I'm giving you some links, here, to the Amazon products that I used.
