What a beautiful remembrance of Buckeye Lake, Ohio. Brings back wonderful memories of growing up and being at the lake during the heyday period. Hope it is brought back to some of the same magnitude as the 60's and prior.

Boy do these photos bring back childhood memories. Every summer my mothers mom would rent a cottage on the little lake and we would spend the days fishing nd going to the pool in the amusement park. Lunch would be a bottle of soda pop and a corndog with French fries to share. On weekends my mothers youngest sister would come down for the weekends. She would sometimes rent a boat and we would ride round on buckeye lake. Usually on Saturday evening after dinner we would all walk over to the amusement park and ride a few rides and play a game of ske ball or two. You got coupons back then. We would save the ones we won until the last weekend of our stay. Prizes were nothing to get excited about but we went home with a fun filled two weeks stay at Buckeye Lake!!! Those were the carefree days of my youth.

My wife and I met 51 years ago at Buckeye Lake. We both lived across the street from each other in the town of Buckeye Lake. We were also in 10th grade back then. We would spend plenty of time together at the Buckeye Lake Park during its final year of operation. I loved the Wild Mouse ride.

Wow what a time down memory lane for over 63 years for me. One of the slides featured my parents novelty and drug store at lakeside. I grew up there, rode all the rides, remember Pops who was I think a security guard and part-time babysitter for me. I have pictures of me with stuffed animals larger than I was. Would love to know where to get a copy of the postcard with my parent's place on it. Lots of very fond memories...

I've been here as a child. I lived on 2nd street until 84. What a Beautiful place. I miss it.

my dads job send us to this park every year, it was so neat...I can still remember riding the rides, the Wild Mouse was so scared, it was a ride that went out over the lake and back.,I heard they closed the park because the rie broke down and people went in the lake.. I live in Newark, Ohio

Nice tribute to the park, I wish Diversified Corp was successful in saving the park back then, this area would be perfect for a new amusement park to be built here, I think it would be very popular!

Remember hearing about the park. My parents never took us there. What a shame.
