Gigi Castorina is the owner of Gigi’s House of Frills, a vintage and vintage-style lingerie store located in Toronto. It’s the new year and Gigi is looking for a fresh start, specifically, to revamp her storage room which is...a cluttered mess. Gigi is looking to hire her first employee in 2020 and needs her storage room to be super organized and functional for this. In this episode, Alexandra has a $550 budget to make Gigi’s space work. The challenge? Gigi has requested that Alexandra use as much vintage or second-hand furniture as possible and use peach, green and pink as her color palette. Can Alexandra turn Gigi’s messy back room into an organized, storage-friendly, vintage paradise? Watch the episode to find out!

Gigi is so smart. She hired an organizer and interior designer for the same price

And it gave her exposure for her business😂
Love it! She should frame a vintage piece of lingerie too.

Adorable!!
Loved how the pipes matched really well with the peach walls.
The make-over looked gorgeous and really her personality! I also love the fact that Gigi made it clear that it wasn’t a bedsheet, it was a vintage curtain 😂
Turned out so pretty! Several years ago I heard and adopted a single New Year Resolution that I recommit to every year: Do more of what works and less of what doesn’t work. 🙂

Best makeover you've done so far. The use of secondhand furniture (1) gives you better quality than new stuff (2) costs far less (3) forces you to think outside the square (4) saves stuff going to landfill (5) reduces the potential levels of nasty fumes emitted from new stuff (Volatile Organic Compounds) and (6) ensures you have a look that NOONE else has !!!! Win win win win win xx
Sooooo good!! I can't believe how good that dresser set looks in this space! Anywhere else it would look dated and waaay too much but there it's totally charming and so functional!

I absolutely adore that dresser set. I think it would fit in well in one of my rooms and now I'm super jealous
I would have never thought to put pink, peach and green together, but I love it!! Your choice for the dresser, shelf unit and desk are great and look so nice with the copper pipe! Homerun on this makeover!! 👍🏻
Alexandra, I think 🤔 that this is my favorite makeover of all the vlogs that I’ve seen 👩🏻🍳🤗
This was a great transformation!!! Enjoy your new space, Gigi!
Omg, that space was a hot mess. This is a miraculous makeover. So fresh & organized and I adore copper. A total win! My 2020 resolution is to get a good portion of my plants hung up. Happy New Year Alexandra!!
I came across this video and I was like: How haven't I found this before?! But yes, a new channel with videos of Alexandra to binge. And then I found out this is the first video and it's really new haha. In other words: Super excited for this!

miekAnn I was thinking the same🤪😀😀
Amazed at how big a transformation this was on such a small budget. Shows that even small little changes can turn something that isn't working for you into a truly inspiring workspace. Great work!
This was one of the best flips I’ve seen yet.
So pretty. I’d love to see you do an artist’s work room.
Instead of resolutions, I like to choose ONE word to carry me through the year. 2019 was "persistent," and that word enabled me to continue a year of decluttering my home. This year's word is "thankful," which I hope will let me see and appreciate all that I have and am able to do. Happy 2020!

I do that too. My word for 2019 was Gratitude, and 2020 Joy.
Amazing! You definitely have an eye on how to organize not only someone's space, but their life too.
OMG! that dresser is gorgeous!
How cute is Gigi!? I LOVE her!
Little pompom on the curtain!! Your signature on every reno 😂
Omg that transformation was like night and day! The outcome was so beautiful!
Alexandra's hair in the intro omg 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Beautiful and inspiring! I actually spent the 31 Dec. and January first doing my bedroom makeover for a fresh start :)
Absolutely amazing! At first, I thought green and pink 😒 but you made it work beautifully! I LOVE the copper pipes, the space opened up so nicely, and the curtain with the bust was a fantastic touch!!! You are formally invited to my space anytime
How do I make my entire place look like this room??? Wow, by far my favorite makeover you’ve done!!!!
Great makeover. I think she had covered up the window because natural light tends to fade vintage clothing. Everything else looks amazing
I LOVED that pipe clothing rack. What a cool idea and functional!
I’m just ready to declutter my entire house. If only I can find the time and motivation!
So cool to see this pop up on my recommended list! I've been to Gigi's store and she's so sweet!
I love that it was a somewhat narrow, deep room and there was still room to get around to everything, even the desk. Love your channel(s)! I’ve learned so much from your videos. Thank you. 😊
Whaaat. Alexandra is going to KILL IT this year. Also, like, now I have TWO channels to enjoy your content (it's actually 3 if you count Coral with BUY OR DIY). YEEEESSSSSS TO ME!!!! I have long term resolutions but year is just a measure of time; the point is to keep working at it until you fulfill it (whether it be 1 week, 3 months or 5 years).
I love this! And, FYI, that's the machine I use to this date--my Mom's old Singer. Best machine ever, even if it is massive. I wish I could borrow you to help me utilize space in my place---I live in a historical building, which is amazing, but it does lend itself to limits---specifically for outlets and phone jacks. But I can't complain--I have half of a gorgeous house, and an enclosed porch. My goal for this year is to declutter and make my space more functional and your YT channel is a huge help!
Like many people I have made many resolutions in the past and then didnt really complete. I am now just using January to contemplate what I really need to do to turn my home into a place that makes me happy and not ashamed to invite friends around. I have loads of de-cluttering to do and storage problems. So all this needs to be addressed. So I am looking forward to seeing future videos that could gives me some tips and inspiration. Thank you so much for all you do.
I make a New Years Resolution every year!! Usually they are like “I hope to be more kind”, or “I wish I could be more dedicated to school”, but this year I did a detailed 12 month plan to achieve 3 major goals!! I’m so excited and pumped about 2020!!!!
Gigi is channeling Liz Taylor! Great job!
Either that chair is on the wrong side of the peach desk or the peach desk is facing the wrong way lol. Doesn't seem efficient or practical.

yeah, I would have put the off-season stuff up near the ceiling, since it doesn't have to be accessed for months, and put the desk under it. Klutzy me would be banging my hips every time I tried to get around that desk.

She most likely did that for the camera angle. I hate things like that, it doesnt reflect the true end results of what you'd get once the cameras are off, we arent often told what happens to all other items that were taken out of the space

If she removed the sink and replaced it with the desk it would’ve been spot on
Love this makeover. Color combination is right on target with the copper pipes. One of your best makeovers.
This was an inspiring makeover. I especially love what you did with the copper tubing to hang clothes. The color palette was refreshing.
I love. what you did for her! You do great work. Not just in style, but also in helping others and making them feel proud of their surroundings and personal space. Keep it up and God bless you, Alexandra!
I loved what you did with this space. It must have been a lot of work, eapecially organizing everything. To answer your question: I make new resolutions every 3 months, because I noticed for a year is often too long. So I cut it up in smaller goals. I talk about my goals and habits on my channel :)
I especially love the copper piping system! Fab!
Amazing transformation. I was overwhelmed when I saw the before pictures. Wow! You did it again.
You have just solved my laundry rack problem! I am going to hang a pipe hanger!!! No more rolling it on those damned coasters...now I'll have room for baskets and shoes from the backdoor entrance!
She should hire you to come back and do her whole store! That is so nice.
It's soooo cute now!
Gigi....Is So Pretty💕 Sweet girl...good luck to her and her business 👍
As a vintage clothing seller myself, I feel your pain! Now I travel full-time in a van and travel trailer with ALL of my inventory - 800+ pieces. I'm constantly having to organize and reorganize as I buy, list, and sell. xoxoxoxo
I love the makeover, but I agree with the comment about dust and vintage fabric. I don’t do resolutions but I do themes. This year is Mastery. Last year was Focus, and I started a new career. This year I want to improve on my skills.
Wow. So fun. She seems like a fun person.

Gigi is the best :)
Love that this was both an organizing + decorating. Love that it's very distinctly her style and color palette and reasonable price. Great use of space and brings the sunshine in!
This is so inspiring, thank you! So different from other space, I never knew I could like pastel colors! Congrats!
I make the same resolutions each year but I also do seasonal refreshers. I moved next door to myself and now I'm REALLY purging stuff that I've accumulated over 20 years of moving around while in the military. There is a lot stuff that doesn't spark joy, just anxiety! OUT. IT. GOES!!!
I love this show!
Amazing transformation indeed! I liked how you incorporated some things she already had, instead of starting from scratch. The room looks bright and welcoming now!
That was awesome! Its not my colors/theme but it was seriously perfect for Gigi's taste.
I love this space now...very vintage and sweet. 💜
I’m reorganizing my office, and I’d love to see a tutorial on practical and pretty shelf styling. The book shelves behind you are beautiful!
My resolution is to clean out and organize our home. I started today in our office what a mess so far 2 bags of stuff and some chairs and baskets are ready to be taken to goodwill. Love your organizing skills inspiring
Why isnt this a playlist on your main channel? *puzzled* I like both!
Loved the copper pipes and colour scheme!
Love her, love her style and personality and love how the makeover is making all this shine more!! Yuhuuu
Wow this is my favourite video and makeover you've done so far. So excited for this!

Great transformation, it's beautiful and so much more functional. Loved it.
A few weeks ago I saw copper & mint green put together & loved it! Seeing this mix of colors just made it more real to see them all together! Love it!
I absolutely love the vintage pieces and colour scheme on this one! What is the name of the recycled furniture store you shopped at?
I love some deep, rich 'gemstone' colors, I think those are garnet, turquoise, ruby, whatever is a deep blue and also bright yellow. Pink, white, gold... been there.
So much better! Very organised and clean! Peach and pink don’t do it for me but they suit Gigi!
My favorite makeover so far. Thoroughly effective and original! Amazing.
You did such a great job, can hardly believe that's the same room! Also I love the colours. ☺️
Love the space!!! So bright and happy. Love the idea of using the copper pipes for storage (and wishing I had a space I could do that in)

I had no idea you were hiding over here. Yay! The layout works much better for access
So excited for you!!!! I can't wait to see what's to come! 💕
My New Years resolution is to update and organize my office and dining area. My office is really cute actually but I did it years ago and never changed it and I’m bored. The dining area has been a work in progress for years and I just want it done
I absolutely love how this came out! That hutch and dresser are so beautiful! Great job!
omg, I'm in love with the room!!! Amazing job!
What a great make over Alexandra. I love it, as I have all your videos I've watched. You are wise beyond your years when it comes to design and organizing. One tip though, in order for a sewing machine to be called an antique, it must be 100 years old. The pretty one in this video is probably from the mid last century. It looks like possibly a Belvedere Alder or Brother by the shape of the brand name plate. Just a guess.
Great reno In a narrow room! I had a dresser like that, French Provincial, bought at Eaton's in the 1950s. Looks much better toned in pale green and blue. Curtains seriously better than that print one.
I had that bedroom set for a good decade. It was white but before that it was yellow...and owned by my aunts during the 70's.
So beautiful!!!
You absolutely nailed it!
Love how the space turned out! So pretty!!
Excellent job on that tiny, crammed room!
My fav makeover so far!!! Well done Alexandra!! Love it!!!
I liveeeee for this. So gorgeous. I live the colors!
Love the new room! Gorgeous and functional. Great job!
I change my resolutions with the seasons! But I've never made any resolutions to improve my workspace...until now.
Love this new series!
Great job!!! Love your makeovers.
So good!
Gigi is so cute! And what a transformation!
Color, copper and cozy cute. What's not to love !
I don't like the desk in the middle of the room.. its awkward

This is her work room, so it makes sense to me. It makes the space functional rather then just storage. Otherwise you would need to waste wall space to push the deck against a wall.
Yay 😀 more Videos👏🏼
Oh I LOVE this!! I love Vintage too, so this is particularly beautiful to me!
So in love with the result 🧡
I love this!! Great job Alexandra!
Such a great makeover loved it, can’t wait to see more
Aw man I just watched everything on this channel 😭 can’t wait for more!!! 💙💙
