Love these old tunes. Know many by heart! I’m 70 and raised by Grandparents who were born in 1879 & 1881, then my parents were born in 1915 & 1918, so I was bred on all these dear classics! Sweet, sweet songs of love & life. They will live on for always.

only difference from me, I'm 63, so my grandparents were either already gone, or soon to be. PGrPa when I was about 4 (but I do remember him), MGrMa when I was 10. So my music growing up was Big Band and Beethoven, and Beatles. Not so much as early as the 20s and 30s but I'm into it now. Dad was b. 1912, mom, 1916. M. 1937.

That is amazing. Your grandparents must have been something, bringing you up in their 70's and 80's. I bet they were special. You must have some wonderful stories they told you firsthand.

I'm 67, but really only heard '20s music in old movies. My grandparents were all gone by the time I was born. My mom talked about the big bands, and dances she attended in the '40s. I like the Glen Miller and Benny Goodman bands. Then you had the Andrew'sisters, etc. s,

I still play these at 126.
This is what I'm listening to make me fall asleep at night.
takes me back to watching warner brothers cartoons as a kid. when you realize those toons you watched in the 90s were made in the 40s and recognizing where all the styles came from with your new-found binge of old hollywood movies
Taking tea at ten and listening to this lovely music - even the ghastly weather outside in Germany doesn ˋ t matter anymore.
You can't exist without pleasure, even for a second, and it's hard to have sorrow for a long time. Such is existence
My great grandma's jams!!!
I'm likely younger than the usual visitor here, but I quite enjoy older music and this one provides a lovely background to work to. I'm glad it's here!
100 year old music… superb!!
Thank you for keeping this era alive.
Wonderful music for dancing in this 2024 I' am 37 years old

It is the 20s again ;)
I like 1920s music!!
Habe die Musik bereits als Kind geliebt, besonders wenn man alte Filme schauen durfte, nachmittags bei Oma oder alten Tanten mit Plätzchen und Kakao !❤
Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra and Ben Selvin and his Novelty Orchestra dominated the 1920's music world across the globe.
If this is the music my grandma was used to hear,i wouldn't mind to be in her times just to hear this.
What a treasure trove of musical gems! 💖💎🥰
I love listening to this in the morning while having a cup of coffee and drawing with the doors open. I like to listen to it on a small Bluetooth speaker rather than my stereo as it recreates that record player or wireless (old use of the term wireless) feel. I find it so relaxing.
I'm a 14 year old but absolutely love these songs!
Bellísimo!!! Es fantástico el trabajo realizado para poder escuchar nuevamente estas melodías de antaño. Muchas gracias!!
Grandpa playing sudoku in the newspaper in the morning while listening to this brought me here.
Surely bring back lots of fond teenage memories for me !
I love that vibraphone

Until our giggles barter tears, let's live; to spin in freedom though damnation prowls; our shimmy dried an angel’s wettened wings. We’ll be regretless when we’ve fallen down. I’m sure they’ve warned you all about the cold. Has thunder knighted any face that’s dry? It rains and everybody wanders home to reign tomorrow at their 9 to 5. Let’s frolic down pneumonia boulevard; the only souls in the midnight birdbath. O, even in the rain be what you are, to own a smile wrinkles never tax. Surpassing judgements in the thunderstorm, go on and find a thing to shiver for
Dziękuję bardzo ❤️❤️🌹

Super🎉🎉🎉
Música de una era de gran glamour extremo.
I was today years old when I learned about Helen Kane
This music reminds me of Pennhurst State School and Hospital.
Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful recordings. I grew up in the 1950s, hunting for 78s like this in junk shops and remember the excitement of running home to play them, much to my parents' bemusement: I had no time for Rock'n'Roll, the nearest to which I came was Elvis Presley's 'Are You Lonesome Tonight?' which itself was a re-recording of Vaughan De Leath's 1927 version.

Beautiful 😍
Again thanks so much! loved the music, and always appreciate all your hard work!
Thanks!
marvelous 👏👏👏🔥🔥😁
back when musicians had to actually work to produce music.... the effort shows. modern.... i cant detect a bit of diffrence between them and 70% of words are the n, b, f, words. glad i was raised by an older father who showed me how to appreciate things that have true style.
Sounds like cartoon music lol my gma was born in 1920 turned 104 in March. Got curious of the great music she speaks of lol
13:39 Recorded during the year when Show Boat was written by Jerome Kern.

The cover film footage is reversed. The Flood Bldg. should be on the right. Also the cable cars are traveling on the wrong side of Powell Street.
